Yes, she has. She thinks its fantastic. Have you decided which book to write about yet ? Yes, I have. Ive already finished reading it. It was really good. Ability aims:1: To learn how to summarize a passage while and after reading to better understand the passage.2: To train students reading ability by task-based activities.Teaching important and difficult points:1. To enable students to know more about the background of music.2. To enable students to summarize the passage. Make notes or underline the main ideas in the text. 3. To enable students to write a short summary of the passage no more than 100 words.Teaching procedures and activities:Step One. Warm-up and lead in. 1. Learn new words and phrases. 2. Talk about favorite singers, bands and songs.Step Two. Pre-reading. Enjoy a video about Garth Brooks.Step Three. While-reading. Task 1: Read the whole passage loudly and slowly. Find out the main idea of each paragraph.Task 2: 2b Read the second and third paragraphs quietly and carefully. Complete Country Music Fact Sheet.Task 3: Read the passage again and underline the answers to the questions about the main ideas(2c) Task 4:Complete the sentences according to the passage .Step Four. Post-reading.Task 5 : Complete a cloze.Task 6: Use the notes you made in 2c to write a short summary of the passage. Write no more than 100 words. Blackboard designing:1.
