Unit 1 P1 教学设计第一部分金色教案教学设计说明About the topic and the structures单元话题和结构本单元的话题是“创记录”。介绍了一位创造和申报吉尼斯世界纪录的奇人的奇特事迹。据说每年全球各地成千上万人申报吉尼斯世界纪录,仅在2001年就有6万人申报了纪录,成功的大有人在。目前从申报资料的统计结果来看,申报最多的地区依次为美国、英国、澳大利亚和印度。贯穿于本单元的句法项目是“词语/短语/不定式/从句做主语”。写作项目是:人物档案。金色教案教学设计在单元课时划分上与课本保持一致,即“阅读课、知识课、运用课三课时/三课型划分”。但在实际教学过程中,我们建议教师依据学生基础、教学条件、学校安排的因素,对课本、对金色教案教学设计重新划分课时、裁剪、拼接使用我们提供的材料,以便“物尽所用”,达到最佳教学效果。教师也可以按照我们提出的“实际教学过程课时划分建议”进行教学。Period 1Reading 阅读课Warming Up “热身”的目的是为阅读在一定程度上作好话题、词汇和结构的准备,激发学生相关的背景知识和学习兴趣。对此我们提供了Warming up by learning about “records”, Warming up by celebrating Guinness World Records day和Warming up by getting to know what Guinness World Records is三种不同的“热身”设计供教师选用。实际操作中还需要教师动用诸如板书、投影等辅助手段,以达到最佳教学效果。Pre-reading 部分帮助学生了解What is hula hoping? What is jumping jack? What is somersault? 为其后的阅读做知识的铺垫和准备。Reading 是篇记叙文,记叙了创造和申报吉尼斯世界纪录的奇人Ashrita Furman奇特事迹。教师可以参考我们提供的教学设计,应当引导学生从形式和内容两方面阅读文章,并为下一节知识课“词语/短语/不定式/从句做主语”作好铺垫。Period 2Learning about language 知识课Learning about language 分为词法和句法两部分。教学程序是Warming up by reading aloud to the recording, Discovering useful words and expressions,Learning about the subject,Building your structure power by doing exercises,Closing down by reading about Beijing Olympic。Period 3Using language运用课Using language 以learning about Lance Armstrong导入本课,然后是重点辅导学生阅读7页上的段文,教师可以灵活使用我们提供的如下布置:Reading for forms, Copying expressions and making sentences,Writing, by imitation, a passage of your own based on the text。实际教学过程课时划分建议Period 1将Warming Up、 Pre-reading、Reading和Comprehending整合在一起上一节“阅读课”。Period 2将Learning about language 和Workbook中的 USING WORDS AND EXPRESSIONS、USING STRUCTURES 整合在一起上一节“语言知识课”。Period 3将Using language 设计为一节包括听说读写单项技能或组合技能训练的“综合技能课(一)”。Period 4将Workbook 的READING AND LISTENING和TALKING整合在一起上一节“听说课”。Period 5将Workbook 的LISTENING TASK、READING AND WRITING TASK和 SPEAKING TASK整合为一节“综合技能课(二)”。第二部分教学资源说明Section 1Background 背景围绕单元话题“Breaking records”,我们提供了几则语言规范、短小精干的趣味性材料。这些材料既可以作为教师教学参考材料为教师所用,也可以直接或改写、重组后作为课堂内外的拓展性阅读材料呈现给学生。Section 2Explanation解析重点针对“阅读课型”中的课文难句,我们不仅提供了详尽的,就句论句的解析和翻译,而且还以解析的焦点话题为线索,进行了一定的归纳、辨析和总结,以帮助教师更好地实施“语言形式”的教学。Section 3Vocabulary词汇按照课本单元词汇表顺序,我们重点提供动词、短语搭配的讲解。所提供的例句,经典、地道、实用、易懂,完全可以直接用于教学。Part 1 Teaching Design第一部分 教学设计Period 1 A sample lesson plan for reading(THE ROAD IS ALWAYS AHEAD OF YOU)IntroductionThree examples of “Warming Up” designs are offered in this book for teachers reference.After the warming up period, students will first be guided to know about “hula hoping”, “jumping jack” and “somersault”. Today it is often made of plastic and twirled around the waist or limbs.What is jumping jack?A toy figure with jointed limbs that can be made to dance by pulling an attached string.What is somersault?A somersault is an acrobatic feat in which a person tucks in mid-air and moves the feet over the head. 3. Reading On page 2 there is an article entitled THE ROAD IS ALWAYS AHEAD OF YOUYou are going to read it to the recording.
