TS 57 Paper-like Product Test 紙品測試Page 4 of 4Test Specification #:TS 57Test:Paper-like Product Test 紙品測試Reference:McDonalds Specification Objective:The purpose of this test is to assure that paper-like or paperboard products are wettable and have low strength when wet to minimize the potential for choking. 此測試是確保紙品或紙板是可被濕潤 及 濕後會成低Application:Any paper-like product, which has no plastic or metallic lamination on its surface and is made from natural vegetative fibers, is subject to this test. Thin less than or equal to 0.3 mm (0.012 in.) thick uncoated paper products made from natural vegetative fibers are exempt from this test. For the purpose of this specification, plastic or metallic laminated paper-like products are defined as paper, paperboard, or paper-like products that are fused with thin plastic or metallic sheet(s). Paper, paperboard, or paper-like products treated with pigment/binder dispersions, including glue, are considered as coated paper, paperboard or paper-like products, and they are subject to this test. Paper-like products that fail TS 57, regardless of their thickness, will be subjected to the McDonalds Core Test Specification TS 37 Bite/Tear Test (except for the precondition part) after being immersed in water for 5 min. If factory applied paper-like labels fail TS 57, the labels will be subjected to the McDonalds Core Test Specification TS 60 Removability Test of Factory Applied Labels.任何不合格TS57之紙品, 不理會厚度, 均要於浸水五分鐘後進行麥當勞TS37 咬/撕測試 (不包括預前環境處理). 若廠方提供的貼紙不合格TS57, 該貼紙須進行TS60之剷貼紙測試.Specification and Comments:See Summary of Method section.Summary of Method:The specimens will be submerged into water for 5 min. and either their wettability or their wet tensile strength will be tested, depending on the thickness of the products.Procedure: 程序1.0Coated products with thickness less than or equal to 0.3 mm (0.012 in.).已過塗層紙品厚度少於或等於0.3毫米(0.012吋)1.1Draw 12 random samples from the product lot.於生產批內 隨機抽12樣辦. 1.2Cut the samples to the dimension of 25.4 mm2 (1.0 in.2). To prevent jaw-tearing type breaks, the specimen has to be properly aligned with no twist in the clamps.
