5A at a music lessonGood morning afternoon, my respectable judges, its my great honor to stand here to share my lessons with you.Today Im going to talk about fun with English book 5A, unit three at a music lesson. And this unit is mainly about some actions. Im going to talk about period one, part A.And Im going to say something about my students. They are in grade five, so they have learnt English for two years, so they have some basic English background knowledge. And I will use some games to attract their attention and make them study in play.So I set three aims in this class. Firstly, aims on knowledge. By the end of the class, the student will be able to read, say, and recognize the new words and phrases: sing, dance, play the violin, sing the song. Secondly, aims on ability. By the end of the class, the students will be able to develop their ability of listening and speaking and foster their ability of communication. Thirdly, the students will be able to foster their consciousness of great cooperation and proper competition.And the focal and difficult points of this class are to encourage the students to say and use the sentence patterns in daily life.I will mainly use the communicative approach and task-based reading approach in this class with the help of PPT.Next, Im going to talk about my teaching procedures, I will divide my class into four parts.Step one: warming up and lead in. Firstly, I will greet with my students and then I will ask the students: do you like English songs? Then I will invite one student to sing a English for all the people and ask the other students to sing with him and clap hands for him. By doing so, the students will enter the English learning atmosphere. Then I will show the students my information card. I will tell the students something about myself. I will tell them my English name, my favorite color and my hobbies. And I will ask the students to guess what hobbies am I have? After invite about three students to answer my question, then I will tell them the answer, that is my hobbies are sing and dance, and I will lead in the new words sing and dance by using the information card.Step two: part one: pre-reading. In this part, I will design three activities. Activity one: look and guess. I will do the action and ask the students to guess. Activity two: watch and guess, I will ask the students to watch a video and guess. By doing so, I will lead in the new phrases play the violin and have a music lesson. Activity three: look and say. I will create a situation to ask the students to practice the sentence patterns and new words. And the students will learn the new words and sentence patterns in a very easy way. Part two: while-reading. In this part, I will design three tasks. Task one: watch and answer. I will ask the students to watch a video about the text and ask them to answer a question: What are they doing? By doing so, the students will have a first impression of the text. Task two: Read and do some multiple choices. I will ask the students to read the whole text by themselves and ask them to do some multiple choices. By doing so, the students will understand the text by themselves. Task three: read the text. Firstly, I will ask the boys to read the text together and then girls together. And the students will understand the text by reading.Part three: post-reading. In this part, I will design two activities. Firstly, I will ask the students to read a chant about the new words and sentence patterns. The students will remember the new knowledge by doing so. Then I will ask the students to play a game called “pick the apples”. I will divide the whole class into six groups, and each group will have six members. Then I will show the students six apples with different numbers from one to six, and in each apple, there is a task in it. Then I will ask each group to choose a number and I will give the corresponding task in it. Such as group 1 choose apple 3, and the task in it is to play the text. And I will send the task to each group at the same time. Then I will allow the students about three minutes to prepare. Then I will ask each group to finish the tasks in front of the whole class. By doing so, the students will practice what they
