全国教育科学“十一五”规划教育部重点课题中国基础英语素质教育的途径与方法典范英语(4a-L1)教学参考The Balloon 教学参考的目的在于为实验课提供一个基本的思路和框架,帮助实验教师更好地把握课题理念。课题组鼓励实验教师结合学生的实际情况适当做出调整,将实验课上出特色。一、教学目标1. 语言能力目标:学生能够听懂故事录音;能够惟妙惟肖地模仿录音;能够绘声绘色地独立朗读故事;能理解并复述故事情节;掌握字母组合“oo”的拼读规律;能改编故事。2. 非语言能力目标:通过让学生梳理故事发展脉络,培养学生的逻辑思维能力;让学生体会故事中Mrs May的心情变化;通过改编培养学生的想象力和创造力。二、课时安排要求每周不少于两课时,每周至少完成一个故事。三、教师要求1. 教师课前须熟读故事,了解故事内容。2. 对于较难的单词,教师可板书,并配合动作和表情帮助学生理解。3. 全英文授课。四、教学用具多媒体设备、CD机、课件(课题组提供)、单词卡(raffle, prize draw, balloon, good, school, hooray, look, took, food, cook, book, foot, room, soon),句子卡(Mrs May wanted to go in a balloon. The school needed more money. Wilf had a good idea. There was a prize draw. The first prize was a ride in a balloon. Mrs May won the first prize. She took a beautiful photograph in the sky. She gave the photograph to Wilf as a present.)五、课堂教学基本步骤1. 导入(Lead-in):引出故事主题,猜测故事内容通过播放英语动画片片段,引出故事主题,引导学生猜测故事内容,激发学生好奇心。(1)教师播放动画片Peppa Pig中的片段The Balloon Ride(见课件),并与学生互动:Hello, boys and girls! Id like you to watch a video clip The Balloon Ride.视频播放结束后,教师与学生互动:What did Peppa Pig ride in the video? (BQ: Did she ride a common balloon or a hot air balloon?)Can you tell the differences between the hot air balloon and the common balloon?(BQ: Which one is bigger? Can the common balloon bring people into the sky?)How did Peppa Pig get a chance to ride a balloon? (BQ: Did she win the first prize in the prize draw?)Do you want to ride a hot air balloon? (2)学生回答后,自然进入故事:Today, we will read a new story. In the story, Mrs May wanted to go in a hot air balloon. Did she get a chance? How did she make it? Lets have a look.2. 看图讲故事(Storytelling):理解故事情节,观察Mrs May乘坐热气球的愿望实现的过程教师利用课件逐幅播放故事图片,并用丰富的表情、生动的英文和适当的肢体语言给学生绘声绘色地讲故事,观察Mrs May乘坐热气球的愿望实现的过程,体会Mrs May的心情变化。 (Picture 1)Look at picture 1. Who can you see? I can see Mrs May and the children.(指向Mrs May和孩子们)Where were they? They were outside.Look! A hot air balloon went by.(指向图中的热气球)“What a beautiful hot air balloon!” said the children.(Picture 2)Look! There were so many balloons in the sky.(指向图中的热气球)Mrs May told Wilf a secret.What was Mrs Mays secret? (BQ: Did she want to buy a hot air balloon? Did she want to go in a hot air balloon?)She wanted to go in a balloon.“I wish I could go in a balloon.” said Mrs May.(Picture 3)It was time to watch television.But the television went wrong.(指向图中的电视机)“Oh, no!” said Mrs May.(Picture 4)Later, Mrs May wanted to photocopy something. But the photocopier went wrong, too. “Oh blow!” said Mrs May.(Picture 5)Wilf wanted to use the computer.The computer also went wrong. “Oh bother!” said Mrs May.How did Mrs May feel?She felt very upset.(Picture 6)Wilf and Wilma came home with a letter.(指向爸爸手中的信)The school wanted money.Suddenly, Wilf had an idea.(Picture 7)What was Wilfs idea? Look at the poster “Prize Draw”.(指向海报或展示一个自制的抽奖箱)What was the first prize? A ride in a hot air balloon.How much was one ticket?Only one pound.Did everyone like the idea? Yes. Everyone bought tickets.(Picture 8)Look. Mrs May bought lots of tickets.(指向图中的Mrs May)Do you know why? Because she wanted to win the first prize. She wanted to go in the balloon.Do you think Mrs May could win the first prize?(Picture 9)Mrs May won the prize. She won a ride in the balloon. Hooray!Mrs May was so excited.(指向图中的Mrs May)(Picture 10)Mrs May went up in the balloon.She took a camera.(指向Mrs May手中的相机)“Its wonderful!” she said.(Picture 11)What did Mrs May see in the balloon?She saw the stream, the houses and the park.She took this photograph.(指向照片)(Picture 12)The prize draw helped the school make a lot of money. They bought lots of things. Mrs May was pleased. She gave Wilf a present. Why?(指向Mrs May手中的礼物)Because Wilfs good idea helped her and the school. (Picture 13)What was Mrs Mays present?It was the photograph. “Thank you,” said Wilf.教师要注意启发学生思考,每次提问之后稍作停顿,不要急于说出答案,先观察学生的反应,如学生仍回答困难,再进一步给出提示引导学生作答。3. 听录音模仿(Listening and Imitating):听懂录音并模仿出标准的语音语调听录音模仿时,录音是什么音什么调,就让学生模仿成什么音什么调,注意Mrs May在不同状态下的语气变化。(1)放录音,让学生完整地听一遍故事,整体输入,不需停顿。(2)放录音,全班学生齐声模仿一遍。要求学生逐幅图跟读,鼓励学生大胆开口,读出戏剧化效果,读出感情。(3)请几名学生重点模仿图3、4、5、10,尤其注意Mrs May的语气变化。4. 朗读故事(Reading aloud):读懂故事并学会绘声绘色地独立朗读故事通过多种形式的朗读,让学生能够绘声绘色地独立朗读故事,培养学生有感情朗读故事的习惯,练就扎实的语言基本功。(1)小组朗读比赛。将学生分成几个小组,进行小组间的朗读比赛。(2)朗读接龙。请学生接龙朗读故事,每人读一幅图。教师根据学生读的情况给予表扬、鼓励和指导。朗读过程中,教师要对朗读困难或有问题的学生给予指导和示范。5. 检查理解(Story Comprehension):回顾故事内容,梳理故事脉络,复述主要故事情节(1)抢答游戏教师围绕主要故事图片提问(见PPT),请学生抢答。教师亦可鼓励学生提出问题。问题和答案可参考:图2:Mrs May had a secret. What was her secret? (Mrs May wanted to go in a balloon.)图6:What did the letter say? (The school wanted money.)Why did the school want money? (The television, photocopier and computer went wrong.)图7:What was Wilfs idea? (Wilfs idea was to have a prize draw.)What was the first prize? (The first prize was a ride in a hot air balloon.)What did everyone think of the idea? And what did they do? (Everyone liked the idea. They bought tickets.)图9:Who won the first prize? (Mrs May won the first prize.)图11:What did Mrs May do in the balloon? (Mrs May took a photograph.)图12:Did the school make money? How did the school spend the money?(The school made a lot of money. They bought new televisions, computers , etc.)What did Mrs May do? (Mrs May gave Wilf a present.)Why did she do that? (Because Wilfs good idea helped her and the school.)(2) 复述故事教师带领学生一起找出主要故事图片的关键词,请学生接龙复述故事。关键词可参考:图2: a secret; wanted to go in a balloon图6: wanted money; went wrong图7: had a prize draw; the first prize; bought tickets图9: won the first prize图11:took a photograph图12:made a lot of money; bought; gavea present; helped6. 讨论(Discussion):发挥想象力,改编故事(1)教师提示如何改编,如:更换故事人物,将balloon换成helicopter,将computer换成desk等。(2)让学生充分发挥想象力,两人一组讨论如何改编。讨论结束后,请1-2组展示。7. 拼读练习(Practising Phonics):培养拼读意识,掌握字母组合“oo”的拼读规律(1)发现“oo”的两种发音l 教师展示“balloon”和“good”两张单词卡(字母组合“oo”红色加粗),示范朗读后请学生说出字母组合“oo”的两种不同发音。l 教师带读:oo-balloon; oo-good,注意长短音的区别。(2)辨音练习l 教师逐一朗读以下单词:school/hooray/lo
