I have to go out.(3) Function: Students learn to make polite requests and ask for permission. 2. Ability Objects: According to designing some tasks, train students listening skills and speaking skills. 3. Moral Objects: Remember to be polite when you ask for help and to be a good child. II. Teaching key and difficult points: 1. Key Vocabulary in this period. 2.Target language in this period. III.Teaching methods: Task-based language teaching methods and communicative language teaching method Teaching aids: a tape recorder, powerpoint V. Teaching procedure: Step 1. Warming-up1. Greetings 2. Ask and answer between the teacher and the students. What can we do to help your parents at home? Choose several students to answer the question. 3. Show students a video and ask students to watch what the boy did at home. Students answer: mop the floor, clean the window. Teacher asks: do you know any other chores. Then show and learn the new words and phrases: clean the room, do the dishes, sweep, sweep the floor, make the bed, rubbish, take out the rubbish, fold the clothes Step 2. Presentation 1. Activity 1 challenging yourself Show the Chinese meaning about the phrases and then ask students to answer in English. About this part, anyone who knows the answer can say the answer directly. 2. Activity 2 guessing gameAsk one student to draw the pictures about these phrases and the rest of the students guess.3. Listening 1b Now look at the chart. There are three columns here, Chores, Mom and Peter. Listen to the tape and pay attention to how Peters mother ask Peter to do the chores. And finish the chart. Check the answers with the students. 4. Pair work Ask students to practice the conversation with the target language. Then follow the sample dialogue to make conversations with their partners: A: Could you please sweep the floor? B: Yes, sure. (by performing the action) A: Could you please do the dishes? B: Sorry, I cant. I have to do my homework. The teacher moves around the classroom and give some help as needed Then ask two pairs to show their dialogues in front of classmates.5. Listening 2a&2bThe teacher asks students to be familiar with the content of the chart and think about the situation that is: everyone need some help or give some help. If someone cant give any help, he must be reasonable. Now play the recorder and let students to check what Peters father says, “Yes” or “No” with “” by listening to the tape. Besides, students should pay attention to how Peters father answers Peter.Check the answers about “yes” or “no” and the reasons.6. 2dFirst, show two questions and answer together.Then, ask students to show the conversation about this sister and brother.Step 3.
