They come from many different countries and they eat different food. 2Do lions eat meat?3And what about bears?4Theyre my favourite animals.5Shall we go and see them?6Is there a panda called Tony【能力目标】Students will be able to talk about your favourtie animal with your parnter.【情感目标】Students will love and protect animals.教学重难点【教学重点】New words and expressions in Unit 1【教学难点】Ss will be able to describe favourite animal and write down its life style.课前准备Tape recorder & MultimediaTeaching StepsStep 1Warming upShow some photos of animals and have a short dialogue.“What is it?”【设计意图】形象生动的导课是为了激发学习兴趣和增加课堂活泼的氛围。Step 2Presentation and practice1Show the pictures of animals and learn new words.2Match the words with the pictures.3Play a game “Who is my soulmate” to check the new words. The one who guess the word have to spell it. If he/she can spell right and pronounce correctly, he will win.【设计意图】加强对单词的认知,设计 “Who is my soulmate”游戏既增进师生感情又在游戏中强化记忆,一举多得。Step 3Listening1 Play the tape in Activity 3 for the first time and choose the right answers2Play the tape for the second time and do exercises.3Listen and complete the table in Activity 3【设计意图】听力活动及时有效进行教学输入,先前的单词提供了基础和铺垫。Step 4Reading1First, read the dialogue after the tape.2. Ask the students to read the dialogue aloud in groups to check their pronunciation.3Act out the dialogue in groups.【设计意图】跟读是对语言输入的整理,朗读时对语言的输出,在语音和朗读中习得语言。Step 5Pronunciation and speaking1Play the tape twice and tell the students to listen and pay attention to the pronunciation and pauses. Then, play the tape once more and pause for the students to repeat. 2Work in pairs.
