The first grammar is the past progressive tense.T: 首先我们讲一讲它的构成形式:was/were+ v-ing(板书)T:其次是他的定义:过去某一时间或是某一时间段内正在发生的动作。Step 5 Grammar 2(ppt7ppt10)T: the second grammar of this unit is to learn how to tell the difference of “while” and “when”. Do you know the meaning of tnose two wrds?S: it means “当时候”T: ok, good. Lets differences of the two words.( 老师以例句加阐述的方式讲述这两个单词的区别)1 . while意为“当时”引导时间状语从句时,表示时间段,从句通常使用延续性动词或表状态的词,或使用进行时态。例句:While Linda was sleeping, Jenny was helping Mary with her homework.2 .用while:表示某个动作正在进行的同时,另一动作也在进行之中,这时主从句都用进行时态,有对同类的两个动作进行对比的意味;也可表示某个动作正在进行时,另一动作发生了(该动作用一般过去时)。eg:While I was playing the piano,she was dancing.我在弹钢琴,她在跳舞。While she was reading,the telephone rang.当她正在看书时,电话铃响了。3.when也可表示“当时”,既可表示时间点又可表示时间段。When you called, I was taking a shower. 当你打电话来时,我正在洗澡。(表示时间点)Mother came in when she was crying. 当她正在哭的时候,妈妈进来了。(表示时间段)*当主句用过去进行时、从句用一般过去时,且从句放在后面时,表示主句动作正在进行时从句动作突然发生了,强调突然性。I was having supper (when someone knocked at the door). 我正在吃晚饭,突然有人敲门了。Step 6 Practice (ppt11 & ppt12)T: lets do some exercise.
