文档简介

What a scary and sensational scene it is!As is vividly depicted in the picture above, there is a glass of liquid with the Chinese character “酒(wine)” on it. Beside the wine glass, the car wreck is on the scene with the front badly damaged, the oil flowing everywhere and the auto safety glass broken into pieces. The profound meaning of the vivid picture can be elaborated in terms of the awareness of both security and social responsibility. Firstly, the consciousness of safety should be one of our top priorities. Life is a one-way journey and you cannot experience it twice. So life is to be respected and awed. Secondly, to be a responsible member of the society, each of us should bear social responsibility. We should be always aware that we have no right to claim others lives as a result of our careless behavior, leaving their families and relatives with endless deep grief or great living burden. To sum up, it is imperative that relevant departments should enforce the law at all times and in all places, leaving no gaps of which violators can take advantage. Besides, the mass media, such as TV, radio and website, should work together to enhance peoples awareness of security and the sense of responsibility to reduce the rate of traffic accident. From the picture, we can see it is a newly emerging phenomenon that Internet rumors, like scandals of both famous and unknown people, 00:12.78fake forecast of earthquakes etc.,00:15.79have become a serious problem in the virtual world. 00:19.78With the wide use of the Internet, 00:22.56Internet rumors have great influence on the netizens and other people. 00:27.19Internet rumors have just the negative influence 00:31.06and will definitely result in severe consequences 00:34.28if we keep turning a blind eye to them. 00:36.88For one thing, 00:42.09made-up scandal directly infringe on citizens rights, 00:43.46affecting their daily life 00:44.47and ruining their public image. 00:46.38For another, 00:48.39the dissemination of such rumors as those about social or natural disasters 00:52.78causes panic and disorder in society. 00:56.43Finally, the spread of rumors on the Internet 01:00.35will undermine the credibility of the net to a point 01:04.15that people will no longer trust it in the future. 01:07.16Because of the seriousness of Internet rumors, 01:10.95some effective measures should be taken before the situation deteriorates. 01:16.00Firstly, 01:18.37it is imperative that laws and regulations be enacted and enforced 01:21.78to stop Internet rumors, 01:24.06such as introducing a real-name system 01:27.04and calling for control and supervision of the Internet. 01:30.88Secondly, people should be educated to distinguish the right from the wrong.00:02.26As is depicted in the picture above, 00:04.65the food safety is being endangered by such unhealthy sources as 00:09.33dichlorvos, clenbuterol, melamine, drainage oil and Sudan red. 00:16.50All these problems of the food safety 00:19.44have become the focus of peoples attention. 00:22.06From the phenomena, 00:24.07we can see that some enterprises are in short of social responsibility. 00:28.85The causes of the shortage of responsibility 00:32.17or even conscience may be as follows. 00:35.48Firstly, 00:37.16peoples worship of money has resulted in distorted personality and alienated soul, 00:43.01which makes people disregard human life in their desperate pursuit 00:47.07for maximum interests. 00:48.72Furthermore, 00:50.31deficient supervision gives rise to the fearless adventurers 00:53.91to pursue as many profits as they can. 00:56.61In my opinion, 00:58.00there are still more things to be done. Firstly, the government should take effective measures to ensure the quality of products, particularly the food safety as it concerns everyones life. Secondly, 01:12.62the illegal traders should be severely punished to increase the cost of their crimes and make them think twice before doing illegal things. Thirdly, we consumers must attach importance to the things we eat 01:26.53and develop an awareness of how to protect our legal rights if cheated. 01:31.17Only in this way will we be able to build a more secure and harmonious society. As depicted in the picture, two experts from different websites 00:05.54have different opinions 00:07.31on the healthy way of eating some kind of fruit. 00:10.65One expert insists 00:13.26that the fruit should be eaten by removing the skin for good health, while the other argues that the fruit should be eaten with the skin for nutrition. What the picture describes reveals a popular “experts” phenomenon in the society. The “experts” phenomenon can result in lots of problems. Take the experts in medicine for example. On the one hand, some fake experts, like Zhang Wuben, Imperial doctor Liu Guangchang, 00:42.17cheat many people 00:44.05who regard their guidance as the best way to keep in good health, 00:48.37so they have bad influence on the society. 00:51.16On the other hand, once cheated, people will no longer believe what the real talented experts do even if they are of great help. Accordingly, its high time to take some effective measures to deal with the situation. Firstly, our government should reinforce its supervision towards the pseudoscience phenomenon. Furthermore, as individuals, we should increase the sense of distinguishing the right from the wrong without being deceived.00:05.26As is indicated in the above picture, 00:08.59the emerging term “Shanzhai culture”, 00:11.53or Copycat culture, is gaining popularity in China. 00:16.07Once used to describe the copying of electronic products, 00:20.14the catchphrase has now been applied to 00:22.81the cloning of everything that is popular, 00:25.57ranging from daily necessity to entertainments, even celebrities. 00:30.74Nowadays the phenomenon has stirred a heated debate in China. 00:35.28Some people, especially youngsters, 00:38.39voice their support for Shanzhai culture, 00:41.48believing it adds diversification to orthodox culture 00:45.75and brings fun to our lives. 00:48.05At the same time, they point out that it breaks conventional boundary and challenges authority. Thus, the trend should be encouraged as long as 00:58.60it doesnt violate laws and regulations.01:01.35In contrast, others urge a campaign be launched to 01:05.49combat the rampant activities, which will probably lead to certain consequences. For one thing, the copying of brand products is a kind of piracy, running counter to Intellectual Property Rights; for another, under the disguise of grass-roots wisdom, Shanzhai culture proves to be an action lacking creativity and therefore will hamper our innovation in the long run.Personally, I side with the latter party. In spite of its current prosperity, I am convinced that under no circumstances is Shanzhai culture going to replace what it imitates.00:07.16What the cartoon vividly depicts is00:11.20a government affairs service center,00:13.29which is placed on an antique shelf,00:15.79with its gates closed.00:17.54The caption reads “decoration”.00:19.91It seems to me that00:21.73the cartoonist satirizes00:23.41bureaucracy of some government officials.00:26.43By no means is the phenomenon uncommon in our society.00:31.00Its negative effect is obvious.00:33.67The indifference of some civil servants00:36.64to the appeals from tax-payers00:38.73is eroding citizens trust.00:40.94Meanwhile, their empty talk and sluggish work00:44.31are disheartening.00:45.56Although the central government00:47.42does formulate some policies for officials00:50.14at various levels to come closer to the people,00:54.05there is still a lag between formulation00:57.10and implementation of these policies.01:00.36Under the current circumstances01:02.74the crucial issue is:01:04.89how to make civil servants more responsible01:07.98to peoples problems.01:09.66A feasible solution, as far as I am concerned,01:13.66lies in a more democratic society01:16.09in which people are granted rights to assessand supervise the government performance.I firmly believe that it will be an incentivefor civil servants to be better committed to their dutyand more concerned about the well-being of the public.00:06.19As is shown in the above picture, 00:08.99a hacker is selling personal information 00:11.57he has stolen online. 00:13.46In reality, the rampant illegal online deal 00:17.33has provoked growing concern about web security.00:21.40It is widely acknowledged that 00:23.93network security system in China 00:25.82is far from developed. 00:27.77Hacking into unprotected computers, 00:29.89criminals manage to gather and 00:32.24sell others information such as phone numbers, 00:35.38ID numbers, home addresses, car ownership, 00:39.21and even bank account numbers. 00:41.37In spite of their wrong-doings, 00:43.47hackers frequently escape from punishment 00:45.69by making use of loopholes in laws. 00:48.70So far, web crimes have posed a grave threat 00:53.11to peoples privacy. 00:54.44Therefore, they hamper netizens enthusiasm 00:57.79for online transaction, 01:00.14which is supposed to be convenient 01:02.04and efficient. 01:03.45And this problem will certainly hold back 01:05.66the development of the Internet in the long term.01:08.40Is there anything we can do 01:11.00to solve the problem? Definitely. 01:14.13Above all, it is essential 01:15.97for the government departments in charge 01:18.33to formulate laws 01:19.66to guarantee security of personal information. 01:23.02In addition, 01:24.60in light of outdated online security infrastructure,01:28.03an effective fraud prevention system 01:30.94should be set up. 01:32.12Last but not least, 01:33.81netizens are advised to attach more importance 01:37.31to their privacy 01:38.52and be more wary of online crimes.00:04.74In the above picture, 00:07.52a collection of job-seekers 00:09.97with high academic qualifications 00:11.90swarm to an employer, 00:13.94only to be told that technicians alone 00:16.91are in demand. 00:18.20What is reflected in the picture 00:20.11is an emerging phenomenon-the gap 00:22.89between supply and demand of the job market.00:25.94A recent survey indicates that 00:28.91jobs related to service and sales account 00:31.45for as large as 80%, 00:34.12while young men show little interest 00:37.16in these “blue-collar” occupations. 00:39.15In contrast, the majority of students 00:42.39strive to be engaged in 00:44.40“white-collar” professions, 00:45.98fields offering insufficient job opportunities. 00:49.32At the same time, students are liable 00:52.93to insulate themselves from the society, 00:55.41thus unable to put into practice 00:58.10what they have learned from books. 01:00.69As a result, when students graduate, 01:03.18they get a diploma but little experience 01:05.85and capacity, which, however, 01:08.40are valued by the employers.01:10.47In my view, 01:11.93the solution relies largely 01:13.62on the joint efforts of school authorities 01:16.14and students themselves. 01:18.21On the one hand, 01:19.85schools should provide guidance for students, 01:22.41encouraging them to incorporate book learning 01:25.48into practical skills. 01:27.30On the other hand, 01:29.02it is advisable for students 01:30.91to come down to earth and 01:32.33accumulate experience related to their future job. 01:36.15Only in this way, 01:37.71can they better adapt to the society and 01:40.10find a suitable position in it.00:03.89In the illustration above00:05.46we can see a graduate staggering on his way to employment,00:09.15with three overwhelming burdens on his back,00:12.56which are respectively low salary, working experience,00:16.51and household registration.00:19.55As is reflected in this illustration,00:22.11millions of graduates are haunted by gloomy employment prospects.00:27.11On account of the increasing number of school graduates every year,00:31.26some employers are fastidious when they recruit new staff.00:35.82A case in point is they are unwilling to spend time and money training young people00:40.99with no working experience.00:43.59In addition, some offer extremely low salaries to hire the graduates.00:49.46Other unfair terms include that many employers even refuse to accept graduates00:55.10who are not natives there.00:57.87To our relief, however,00:59.91the employment of graduates has become a major concern01:03.31for the government in recent years.01:05.88And laws and policies have been enacted to improve the situation.01:10.74Internship projects, for example,01:13.21are launched to help college students to seek job and gain experience.01:18.24Besides, incentives are provided to encourage employers to recruit fresh graduates.01:24.22Under the circumstances,01:25.83graduates are bound to have more opportunities tomorrow.00:03.25As is vividly depicted in the picture,00:06.09a man is exerting himself to grab money in the air,00:09.79a voluminous book in hand.00:12.61On the book are several big wordsacademic fraud.00:17.84Obviously the painter intends to condemn the intellectuals00:21.98who barter their honesty for fame or money.00:25.75Recently, mounting negative reports about some prestigious professors00:30.86have aroused public concern over intellectual integrity.00:35.51These professors, in spite of their high reputation,00:38.98are charged with plagiarizing others research findings00:42.79or inventing scientific data.00:45.83A reliable survey of 180 researchers indicates that00:50.13approximately 60% of them confessed they paid to have papers00:54.90published in academic journals and that 40% of them said00:58.96they once copied others work.01:01.95To make matters worse,01:03.56scholars lacking in professional integrity exert a bad influence on young students,01:09.30who followed the trend instead of pursuing innovation.01:13.18There is no doubt that this phenomenon has blocked the countrys scientific development.01:19.93Therefore it is high time that01:22.42administration concerned took measures to curb the misconducts01:26.67and encourage creativity in academic field.01:30.64Of supreme importance is transparency,01:33.96which enables the government to oversee researchers work.01:38.41The eradication of academic dishonesty, I am convinced,01:42.18will clear the obstacles that prevent us from becoming a country of innovation and vitality.00:06.08With the miraculous economic take-off 00:09.71brought about by reform and opening-up, 00:12.41Chinese cultural market is flourishing 00:15.46at an unprecedented rate. 00:17.85At the same time, 00:19.35an undeniable fact also lies ahead of us00:22.90the vulgar culture, 00:24.67especially in the Internetis breeding and spreading. 00:27.98The issue of vulgar culture has aroused 00:31.74wide concern in the public. 00:33.46The illustration vividly depicts this phenomenon 00:37.05and calls on people to foster resistance 00:40.27to vulgar culture through 00:42.02the promotion of traditional morality.00:44.55Unhealthy cultural tendency as it is, 00:48.03the vulgar culture runs counter 00:50.87to the fine Chinese traditional one. 00:53.87In the long run, 00:55.23it will impede the social progress 00:57.73and be unfavorable to the rejuvenation of the nation. 01:00.81The vulgar culture does not appear by accident. 01:04.88For one thing, some people who lack faith and ideals, 01:09.80pursue business interest by fair means or foul. 01:11.71For another, the emergence of flippancy and decadence 01:16.60among some culturati causes them to give up 01:20.05the pursuit of the beauty. 01:21.94Therefore, it is imperative for us 01:24.81to take drastic measures to resist vulgar culture. 01:28.48The government should bring its functions 01:31.01into full play and 01:32.53the media should stress the enhancement 01:35.17of moral integrity. 01:36.50Moreover, we should pay more attention to 01:39.16cultivating noble values and good morals. 01:42.87Only in this way can we succeed 01:45.54in resisting vulgar culture in our society.00:03.99As is vividly demonstrated in the drawing, 00:07.96a pair of balances rises straight up 00:10.99and what it weighs are heavy “house price” 00:13.62and light “income”. 00:15.71By the side of the balances stands a small man, 00:18.63who heaves a deep sigh and says 00:21.35when he can afford a house. 00:23.28In recent years, 00:25.50the problem of “low income and high house price” 00:27.50has become a matter of great concern 00:30.02of the general public in our society. 00:32.82High house prices also lead to 00:35.43the emergence of many new social phenomena, 00:38.30such as Dwelling Narrowness, Ant Family, 00:41.53Mortgage Slaves, Flat Marriage, and so on. 00:45.69What is the sticking point 00:48.13for exorbitant house prices? 00:49.92Firstly, on account of divers
