说 课 稿GreetingGood morning, Ladies and Gentlemen. My name is Andy Lauren. Today I feel so glad and honored to join this interview and share my lesson with you. General structureThe topic of my lesson is “How much are these pants?” from GO for It, Book one. And the lesson Im going to teach is from 1a to 1c in section A which tells about how to ask about prices and talk about clothing. Generally speaking, I would like to teach my lesson according to the following eight parts:1. The first part is “Analysis of the Teaching material”2. The second part is “Teaching aims and demands”3. The third part is “Teaching key points and difficulties”4. The fourth part is “Teaching methods”5. The fifth part is “Teaching aids”6. The sixth part is “Teaching procedures”7. The seventh part is “Blackboard design”8. The last part is “Evaluation and reflection” Analysis of the Teaching material and studentsFirst, let me talk about the teaching material:This text is from Go for It which is a very good book adapted for Chinese students. It uses Task-Based Language teaching model and Total Situational Action model to make our Chinese students learn English more efficiently and easily. Each unit of this book includes: Language goals, language points, key words, grammar focus, and self -check, and can be divided into two parts: Section A and Section B. The design of this book aims to improve students sound English abilities including: listening, speaking, reading and writing. etc. For this lesson, it creates a situational context in the picture of 1a, and let students learn how to shop. Because shopping is very common in our daily life and most students are interested in shopping, this lesson enables Ss to know how to ask about prices and talk about clothing. Teaching aims and demandsAnd now we have a basic understanding of this book, so I start to conclude the three teaching objectives according to English teaching syllabus and new lesson standards. They are knowledge objects, ability objects and emotional objects. The knowledge objects of this lesson include: 1.knowing the vocabularies of clothes 2. Knowing how to use “how much” to ask and talk about the prices of the clothes. The ability objects of this lesson include: 1.enable the students to talk about the clothes and prices. 2. develop students ability to communicate with others and practice their oral English.The emotional objects of this lesson include: 1.Encourage students to be brave to speak in English. 2. Tell the students how to shop. Teaching key points and difficultiesAfter knowing the teaching objectives, I begin to conclude the key points and difficulties of this lesson according to the new teaching standard and the teaching content:1. key words and phrases: socks; T-shirt; shorts; sweater; bag; hat; pants; shoes; skirt; how much; dollar; 2. sentence patterns: - How much is the blue T- shirt?- Its ten dollars- How much are these pants? - Theyre two dollars.3. Create a situational context for students to do role play.4. Grammar: How to use special question “How much are these pants?” and “How much is the blue T-shirt?” and how to answer them.Teaching methodsNow that we have analyzed the teaching materials and have known the teaching aims and demands, the key points and difficulties, then how to achieve the teaching objectives better, to stress the key points and break through the difficult points? The key is to make use of the proper teaching methods. Now Ill talk about my teaching methods below. According to the modern perception theories and social intercourse teaching theories, I adopt the TBLT method as this book required and TSA method in my teaching, namely Task-based Language Teaching and Total Situational Action. And by repeating and cooperation, we break through the difficulties together. The Task-based Language Teaching method offers the Ss an opportunity to do some preparations and develop their study abilities and habits. And the Total situational Action method can create students a total English study environment and improve their ability to use English. At the same time, make use of the modern teaching equipments and all kinds of teaching means; it can mobilize the Ss enthusiasm and activity in learning English. Studying MethodsFor students, how to learn this lesson well?First, I will let students study in a relaxing and agreeable atmosphere. Ss understand the new knowledge in a certain degree through the mental process of seeing, hearing, saying, observing, imagining, thinking etc. And then let them make preparation for completing the new study task. Teaching aidsAnd to achieve a successful lesson, we need some teaching aids like Multi-media computer; OHP (overhead projector); tape recorder; cards; PowerPoint. Teaching proceduresNow when everything is ready, I would like to talk about the teaching procedures.In order to realize the teaching process systematically, properly and efficiently and under the principle of “regard Ss as the corpus, the teacher inspires for predominance”, I divide the teaching process into seven steps.Step1 Revision and lead-in1. Greeting the students as usual with some simple sentences like: How are you? And then take out some prepared cards with some colorful pens, erasers, books and tables etc. ask the students “whats this? Whatre these? What color is it? What color are they? ect.” 2. I will teach the new words by using some pictures and ask them “Do you like these socks?” or “Do you like this T-shirt?”3. After learn the new words and I will let the students look at the picture on Page 41 and match the words with the things in the picture. Step2. presentation and practice.1. play the recording the first time, Ss only listen.2. play the recording a second time, Ss listen and repeat.3. ask a pair of students to practice the small conversation and then let the other students to do pair work with their partners and practice the conversation. Then ask pairs of students to do presentation and check the result. 4. ask the students to substitute the clothes and practice the conversation again. And then check the results.Step3 Task time.This step gives the students 5-8minutes to make a similar dialogue using the phrases and sentences learned in this passage according to the given situation (show it on the screen using a multi-media computer). This step is employed to create a language environment for practicing students communication ability in the class. If the students can finish this task well, they will benefit a lot.Step 4 Consolidation and competitionAsk the students to write down the conversations they have practiced, and then try to memorize the conversations, and then we will do a competition to see which pair constructed more conversations. Step5 HomeworkIn order to extend students ability of using English, its necessary to give students good and proper homework.1. Copy the new words in your exercise book and try to mem
