八年级上说课稿Unit4Howdoyougettoschool? Good morning, everyone! I am Lu Xu from Changshoulu Middle School . Now Ill say section B (from 1a to 4) of Unit4.Its from Grade8 (The first term) in Go For It! The title is “How do you get to school?”. Ill say the lesson from four parts: I、Analysis of teaching material II、Teaching methods III、Guide of studying ways IV、Teaching procedures.I: Analysis of the teaching material(I) Status and function1. The main topic of Unit 4 is “transportation”. In this unit, the Ss will learn to talk about kinds of transportation, where and what kind of transportation he can take .Let Ss learn different means of transportation in different places. This is a topic that is related to their daily life. So it can raise their learning interests and improve their spoken English.(II) Teaching aims and demands1. Knowledge ObjectsIn this lesson, Ss should master the new words “stop ,transportation ,bus stop, train station, subway station, depend on, more ,means” etc. At the same time, they should know how to use these sentences “She; Next, she; Then, she” in the box and use them in the conversation. 2. Ability ObjectsIn this lesson, Ill mainly train the Ss listening and speaking abilities and develop the Ss abilities of communication by learning the useful structures.3. Moral ObjectsIn this lesson, the Ss should learn how to work with others and help each other, how to express their own ideas during the communication.4.Teaching keys and difficultiesAccording to the teaching aims, I think the focus of this lesson is the new expressions and help the Ss to communicate with each other. The difficulty is that how to let Ss describe how to get to a place with two or more kinds of transportation.II、Teaching methodsIn this lesson, Ill mainly use the “task-based” teaching method, and it will be used in the whole lesson. I think its helpful to develop the Ss thought. Ill also use “situation communicating” method. It can provide enough listening and speaking situations for Ss. I think good teaching methods are the keys to success.III、Guide of studying waysIn order to guide the Ss better, develop the Ss abilities, in this lesson, the Ss will learn how to be a good language learner , and how to communicate with others. It will be very helpful for their learning in the future. I think good studying ways can help the Ss to be good language learners.IV、Teaching procedure1. Warm-upIn order to form a better English surrounding for Ss, attract the Ss attention, Ill begin my class with an English songThe number song. I think a good beginning is a half of success.2. A game: Who has a good memory?Let the Ss look at the picture with some means of transportation for a few seconds. Then ask the students to say the means as many as possible.and the students who say the most will be the winners。 I will ask the students who raise up first. 3. DrillAfter step 2, I will let students drill the patterns with the means of transportation.using the sentences:How do you get to school?How long does it take?How far is it from.to .?Then ask some students to act out the dialogue。4. PresentationShow some signs of the bus stop, subway station, airport, train station to the students. Then let students match the words with the signs. Then check the answers.5.Pair workTell the students to talk about how they get to school using more than one kind of transportation . For example, first they walk to the bus station, then take the bus to the school. Ask two students to read the sample conversation in activity 1b.Ask several pairs to perform their conversations.6、Listening practicea. In this part, Ss have understood the ways of transportation ,the time, distance. In this step, Ill ask the Ss to talk about something in PPT7. It can help them finish it more easily. Then play the tape, while the Ss listening , Ill go around the classroom and help the Ss who have trouble in listening . It can not only help the Ss who have trouble in listening, but also help the teachers go closer to the Ss. I think the closer the teachers go to the Ss , the better the students will learn.亲其师,信其道。If necessary, Ill play the tape again. Finally, check the answers.Then listen again, let students choose one way in 2b.b.Group work: How does Nina get to school?Then let students talk about Ninas way to school in groups. 7、ReadingLet the students know how students around the world get to school. Let the students read the article on page 23, and then decide if the statements are true or false in the book. Then explain some difficult and important words and experssions。8.WritingLet the students read and write. Make sure that students know what to do. Then check the answers.9、Make a surveyHow do students in our clas
