You shouldnt eat too much. Why dont you 不如. Why dont you join an English club?（2）ought to应该 You ought to read more. If I were you,（3）Id 如果我是你，我就. If I were you, Id watch more television.（4）suggest and recommend提议与推荐用动词分词 I suggest visiting the Eiffel Tower. (连自己在内全部人都去) 或用从句 I suggest that you visit the Eiffel Tower. (你们大家去我不去，只是提议) 或用名词 I recommend the lobster. (这家餐厅龙虾做得好)（5）advise 建议(动词) I advise you to buy a good dictionary.advice 建议(不可数名词) 所以要用 some advice 或 a piece of advice. Let me give you some advice. She gave me a very useful piece of advice: to buy a good dictionary.（6）很多人不喜欢不请自来的建议和意见，所以为了避免表错情给人以多事的印象，你可以用以下说法： You could always. 你其实可以. Have you considered. 你考虑过. Perhaps we could. 也许我们可以. Do you think its a good idea to. 你觉得.好不好呢？ 2.连词用法小结（1）并列连词和连词短语并列连词用来连接平行的词、词组或从句。常见的连词有and ,but ,or ,so ,bothand , eitheror ,neithernor , not only but also 等。1） and and 表示 “和、且”在肯定句中连接并列的成分。He is laughing and talking . 祈使句+ and , “and” 表示“那么”之意。= IfStudy hard , and you will succeed .= _ _ study hard , you will succeed . adj / adv + and + adj /adv 表示“渐渐”。He makes mistakes again and again .2） but表示转折关系的连词，意为“但是”He is poor ,but honest .3） or or 有 “或”的意思，表示一种选择Would you like tea or water ? “祈使句,or ” or 表示否则。= If not , . .Study hard , or you will fail. = _ you _study hard , you will fail . or 用在否定句中表示并列关系。He cant read or write .4） both both “两者都”, 后面的名词、动词都用复数。Both the answers are right . both of .Both of us are students . both andBoth you and she are right .5） either/ either or either “两者当中任何一个”,后有of 时接名词的复数形式，无of时接单数名词，动词用单数形式。You may wear either of the hats. either or “不是就是,或者或者.”动词与临近的主语保持一致。即 “就近原则”.Either you or he has to go = Either he or you have to go .6） neither /neither nor neither “两者当中都不”,后有of 时接名词的复数形式，无of时接单数名词，动词用单数形式。Neither of the answers _(be) right . neither .nor “既不.也不”动词与临近的主语保持一致。即 “就近原则”.Neither you nor I am right .= Neither I nor you are right .（2）从属连词从属连词是引导从句的连词。1） 引导宾语从句的连词 that 连接由陈述句转变而来的宾语从句。 who,whom,what,which,whose,when,where,why,how连接由特殊疑问句转变而来的宾语从句。 if/ whether 连接由一般疑问句转变而来的宾语从句。2） 引导状语从句的连词 时间状语从句：when ,before ,after, until ,as soon as (主将从现) 条件状语从句：if , unless 原因状语从句：because 方式状语从句：than 结果状语从句：so that ,such that 让步状语从句：though /although 目的状语从句：so that3） 不能同时出现在一个句子中的连词。 because ,so 不能同时出现在一个句子里，只用其中之一。Because in our school knew him ,so we had no trouble in finding him. though /although ,but不能同时出现在一个句子里，只用其中之一。但though 可以与yet，still 同时出现在一个句子中。Though Australia is very large ,but the population is quite small.4） 必须用whether 的情况。 discuss 和介词后的宾语从句用whether .We are discussing _ well hold a meeting.Im worried about _she can come to the meeting 和不定式、or not 连用必须用whether .I dont know _ to leave or not .3. 在餐厅点菜的句型练习Situation：John orders his meal after he takes a minute to decide what he wants.情境：约翰在考虑要吃什么之后点餐。 Waitress：Good evening, sir.
