(Para. 17) Meaning: I make a domestic trip, which seems like traveling abroad, by visiting the foreign quarters in New York.10.To these latter I do not shut my eyes, for they, too, are part of life. To close the eye on them is to close the heart and mind. (Para. 17)Note: The word “latter” means “being the second of two persons or things mentioned”.
