Language points learn to do vt.“学” (过去式:learnt/ learned) E.g. learn music. learn () from e.g. learn (how) to swim. “记忆;记住” learn by heart. E.g. Children learn faster than adults. Its never too late to learn. 谚语“学习不嫌晚,何时开始学都可以。” Live and learn.活到老,学到老。“听说,了解到”learn of / about “我们在今天早上得知了这个消息”e.g. We learned of the news this morning. E.g. learn ones lesson 吸取教训 learn vs. study :learn 学习学会,侧重学习的成果 e.g. learn from experience; study “学习;研究”,强调学习过程,其后加科学、艺术,带有努力勤奋的意味 e.g. study medicine, study science, study a map, study painting, study hard, study late at night. 2)first of all “首先,第一” 作文中:first of all,secondly,thirdly,lastly 3)to begin with 作文用语,“首先,本来,第一,一开始,起初”4) later on “后来;稍后;过些时候” 可放于句首,句中或句末 E.g. Ill tell you more about the use of tenses in English later on. 5) realize that “认识,意识到”+从句 e.g. He didnt realize that he was wrong 实现(希望或目的)realize ones dream 6) It doesnt matter. 口语中 “对不起,没关系” 7)be afraid of / to do / that- “恐怕,害怕/ 害怕做” e.g. Dont be afraid of dogs. E.g. She was afraid to be alone here. He was afraid that the snake would bite. 口语中,“恐怕”(引出不好的消息或带有歉意的回绝)e.g. Im afraid I have broken your glass. A: Can you lend me one dollar? B: Im afraid not. be afraid to do VS. be afraid of doing : 当谈论我们自己也无法左右的突发事情时,要用be afraid of doing e.g. be afraid to swim / dive in (to) the swimming pool; be afraid of falling into the swimming pool e.g. When you want to go across a bridge, you are afraid of falling / to go. 8)laugh at嘲笑=make fun of = make jokes about sb.“以某人为笑柄,开某人玩笑”; smile 微笑 9)complete adj. 完整的,完全的,彻底的 e.g. a complete set of 一整套;a complete stranger 素不相识的人;The house is a complete mess.太乱了;complete success完满的成功 vt.完成 (预定的任务、工程、建设等)e.g. complete the task / the job = the task / the job is completed. 10),either “也不这样” VS.,too “也这样” 11)It helped a lot. 12) do lots of / a lot of practice U 13)Take lots of grammar notes. 14) start / begin to do / doing , 但在下面三种情况;后跟to do较好 主语是物而不是人时 e.g. The ice began (started) to melt “融化”. 本身为-ing形式时 e.g. He is just beginning/ starting to write the letter. 其后的动词与想法,感情有关时 e.g. she began/started to understand it. start作“动身、发动、开办、流出、惊起”等意讲时,不可用begin代替,e.g. He started (= left) from Beijing for Hong Kong. At daybreak we started out/off on our journey. The car wont start. I couldnt start the car. start a newspaper; Tears started from her eyes. I started at the sound of the bell. The gunshot started the ducks.15)original “原始的,最早的”e.g. the original plan “原创的;独创的;新颖的=creative” original works/ ideas 16) amazing = very surprising “令人惊异的,了不起”;amazed = very surprised e.g. The new car goes at an amazing speed.17) be impressed by/ with/ at “印象很深刻;欣赏,使感动”e.g. He was impressed by/with/at his new house.18) have (some) trouble U (in) doing sth. 动词; with +名词衍生:trouble e.g. Whats your trouble? “烦恼” ; make trouble “捣乱”; “毛病,故障” Whats the trouble with the machine?= Whats wrong with ?Be in trouble “处于不幸、苦恼、困境之中”;get into trouble “陷入麻烦,困境,被捕入狱”;讨厌的事或人【C】E.g. I do not want to be a trouble to you. “成为你的负担”;v. e.g. be troubled by bad news; be troubled with a headache; Dont trouble about it. “而烦恼或费心”;Never trouble trouble till trouble troubles you. 谚麻烦没有来找你,别去自找麻烦。19)tell sb. how to do it 20) listen for等着听 E.g. listen for the telephone 21) help you the most in doing sth. 在某方面帮助你最大22)take notes授 课 难 点Grammar: 1)It wasnt easy for me to understand the teacher when she talked. 中it 作形式主语,真正的主语是后面的to understand e.g. Its important for me to study English well. Its dangerous to swim in the ocean. Its frustrating to see the national team fail. 2) 句子成分:主谓(宾),主系表;简单句:从句子结构上看,如果句子只包含一个主谓结构,而句子各个成分都只有单词或短语表示,它就是简单句,例如:She is never late for school. 注意:两个或多个主语共一个谓语,两个或多个谓语共一个主语等也属于简单句,例如:He and his son are both teachers; They walked and talked along the river. 复合句:如果句子包含有两个或更多的主谓结构,其中一个(或更多的)主谓结构充当句子的某一(些)成分,就是复合句(分主从句了),充当句子成分的主谓结构称为从句,常由从属连词引出,总是用陈述语序。3) 定语从句: Another thing that I found very difficult was English grammar. Then I started to write my own original sentences using the grammar I was learning. but I have some ideas that may help. You said you couldnt understand people who talked fast.上节课repeat the sentences that are difficult for you. The only other (adj. “其他的”) problem I have is that I dont get much writing practice U. 发现的规律:有几个动词呀?就有几个小分句;形容词性从句,一般称为定语从句,在句子中起定语作用,修饰一个名词或代词。被定语从句修饰的词叫做先行词,定语从句必须放在先行词的后面,有关系代词引导;关系词充当从句的成分。词 形先 行 词充当从句的关系代词who人主,宾,表whom人宾which 物主,宾,表that人或物主,宾,表as人或物主,宾,表Whose(= of whom或 of which)人或物定E.g. This is the place which we visited. 注意:关系代词作从句的主语时,从句谓语动词的人称和数要与先行词取得一致,例如:Those who are going, come here. 注意: 口语中,作从句动词宾语或介词宾语(这时介词不可在关系代词前)的关系代词常可省略,例如:Have you found the book (that) you want? This is the man we have talked about. 4) Then I started to write my own original sentences using the grammar I was learning. Using 作方式状语。E.g.
