Tuesday, May 29, 2012Unit 9 Have you ever been to an amusement park?Talk about fun places.Section A 1a-The First Period Analysis of the Teaching Material The topic in this lesson is about fun places. It deals with talking about past experiences by using the Simple Past Tense and the Present Perfect Tense. It is closely related to the students life. So it is helpful and practical to arouse students interests in learning English. In this unit students will learn to talk about the past experiences and master the structure of the Present Perfect Tense like Have you ever been to? Ive never been to They should especially know the differences about between the Present Perfect Tense and the Simple Past Tense. They will also learn and master the differences between the verbs for a short time and the ones for a long time used in the Present Perfect Tense. In the reading, students will learn sth about Singapore, especially its night zoo. Teaching Aims 1. Processes and Methods With the learning strategies of Using context and Role playing, get the students in groups to talk about past experiences and use the Present Tense and the Simple Past Tense correctly with the help of multimedia teaching coursewares, and making a survey. Design activities to have the students practice listening speaking and writing using the target language. 3. Emotion, attitudes and value The main content is to talk about fun places and deal with talking about past experiences. The topic is closely related to students life. Its helpful and practical. So it can arouse students interests easily and inspire students to fall in love with English. Meanwhile, its meaningful. Students can learn how to ask for help when having difficulties in learning and help them realize the importance of cooperation. Teaching Focus and Difficulties1. Teaching Reflection:Its pretty efficient to design a prorate lead-in part while starting learning the target language at the beginning of the units, for effective class, its really necessary to warm students up in the first lesson. On the other hand, its more efficient to organize effective activities to practice the target language than just teach what it is. However, organizing a pretty class activity is a really hard work for a teacher to do, but its valuable to do so, and also our duty to do so. With the effort, my teaching is improving, and whats more, its efficient.
