Few scholars touch the question of translation in their study of Ba Jin, not to mention his translation thought in childrens literature. So in this thesis, taking The Happy Prince translated by Ba Jin as an example the present study explores how Ba Jin expresses his aesthetic thoughts in translation. So in this thesis, we will make a analysis on his famous version in The Happy Prince. Through the study, it is found that during the translation of literature works, the translator should not stop transmitting the logic information of the source text, but should take the representation of the aesthetic information as its final goal. This thesis will be helpful for those translators who want to learn more about Ba Jins translation thoughts and arouse peoples interest and attention to the translation of childrens literature.2论文的主要内容和提纲The thesis is composed of five parts. The first part is introduction. The second part starts from introducing translation aesthetics, including aesthetic subject and aesthetic object. The third part describes Ba Jins aesthetic thoughts in translation on childrens literature, which contains Ba Jins language features and his aesthetic thoughts in translation. Ba Jins aesthetic thoughts in The Happy Prince (2010) are introduced in the forth part, which discusses Ba Jins aesthetic thoughts from three aspects-language, images and style.
