英语精读课程教学大纲英语精读课程教学大纲一、基本信息课程编号:10601100500课程名称:英语精读英文名称:English intensive reading 课程性质:专业必修课总 学 时:320 学分:20理论学时:320实验学时: 0实践学时:0 指导自学学时:0适用专业:英语专业 适用层次:一、二年级先修课程:中学英语承担院部:人文学院 学科组:英语专业学科组二、课程介绍(一)课程目标及地位课程概述包括如下内容:1 该课程设置的主要目的英语精读是英语专业的一门专业技能主干课程, 其目的在于根据英语专业人才培养的要求,为学生打好坚实的基础,培养和提高学生综合运用英语的能力。能够达到高等学校英语专业基础阶段英语教学大纲的要求,能正确、自然而流畅地运用本阶段所学的语言本身,并能在某些场合恰当地并灵活机动地运用语言。本课程主要是通过语言基础训练与篇章讲解分析, 使学生逐步提高语篇阅读理解能力,了解英语 各种文体的表达方式和特点, 扩大词汇量和熟悉英语常用句型, 具备基本的口头与笔头表达能力,并初步达到大纲规定的听、说 、 读、写、译等技能的要求。2该课程在整个专业课程体系中的地位英语精读是英语专业的专业基础课,也是英语专业的必修课程。属A类(理论)课程。本课程是一门综合英语技能课,其主要目的在于培养和提高学生综合运用英语的能力。该门课程是英语专业的主干课程,在本专业课程体系中居于重要地位。3该课程在专业学习目标中的作用以及该课程与前后课程的联系本课程之前课程包括:初高中基础知识(基本语法,2100左右的词汇量) 本课程与口语,听力,写作等课程相辅相成,是基础之基础。学好本课程,能为写作,翻译等高层次的专业课程奠定基础。(二)教学基本要求本课程以课文教学为中心,采用精讲多练、讲练结合的方式,课堂教学注意归纳,演绎并用,以归纳为主,演绎为辅。讲课中注意知识的层层递进,具有连续性,语言点突出,讲解清晰准确,通过典型例句解释语言现象。启发学生学习语言的积极性和自觉性,鼓励学生开动脑筋,大胆地以各种表述来表达同一个语句,锻炼学生用英语思维的能力。本课程在加强基本语言知识和基本语言技能的同时,注重培养学生的语言交际能力,通过两年的学习,学生可望逐步达到以下要求:1.思想道德与职业素质目标: 培养学生的团队合作精神,爱岗敬业,具有社会责任感和较高的人文素养。还要在坚持四项基本原则和爱国主义教育的前提下,培养学生跨文化交际能力,培养学生对文化差异的敏感性、宽容性。2.知识目标:在中学的基础上再增加5000基本词汇,牢固掌握中学所学基础语法,掌握篇章,文体,修辞等知识,熟悉西方文化,具有较强的跨文化交际意识。3.技能目标:听懂略低于正常语速、题材熟悉的英语广播或录音材料,具备用英语熟练地进行日常交际的能力,并初步具备用英语表达自己思想、观点的能力;具有较强的语法意识,养成对语言进行语用分析的习惯,用简单的分析性语言分析篇章结构;以书面形式比较准确地进行描述及简单的讨论;在口、笔头翻译实践中准确地表意。在涉外交际的日常和业务活动中能运用英语进行口头和书面的交流,能借助词典等工具书阅读和翻译英语业务资料。(三)课程的重点和难点本课程的讲授一般安排在第一,二学年,本课程重点是语言基础知识;掌握基本技能, 培养语言交际能力;难点听说写的基本技能。(四)课程教学方法与手段课堂教学应以学生为主体、教师为主导,对学生进行全面的、严格的基本技能训练,培养学生实际运用语言的能力,突出语言交际能力的培养,为进入下一阶段学习打下扎实的专业基础。为达到这一目的,教学中要采用启发式、讨论式、发现式和研究式等教学方法,充分调动学生学习的积极性,激发学生的学习动机,最大限度地让学生参与学习的全过程。引入“小组合作学习”理念,做到课堂教学要与课外学习相结合。(五)教学时数分配表英语精读教学时数分配表教学内容各教学环节学时分配采用何种多媒体教学手段章节主要内容讲授实验实践指导自学小计1Unit 1 Never Say Goodbye1616Ppt2Unit 2 The Fun They Had1616Ppt 微课视频3Unit3 Whatever happened to manners?1616Ppt 微课视频4Unit 4 Dealing with Aids1616Ppt 微课视频5Unit 7 When the lightning Struck1616Ppt 微课视频1Unit 1 weve been hit1616Ppt 微课视频2Unit2 The virtues of growing older1616Ppt 微课视频3Unit 4 cultural encounters1616Ppt 微课视频4Unit 5 fourteen steps1616Ppt 微课视频5Unit9 what is happiness?1616Ppt 微课视频1Unit1 fresh start1616Ppt 微课视频2Unit2 the company man1616Ppt 微课视频3Unit3 out of step1616Ppt 微课视频4Unit4fun,oh boy, you could die from it1616Ppt 微课视频5Unit5 the real trueth about lies1616Ppt 微课视频1Unit1 Never Give In, Never, Never, Never1616Ppt 微课视频2Unit2 Space Invaders1616Ppt 微课视频3Unit3 Alienation and the Internet1616Ppt 微课视频4Unit4 A View of Mountains1616Ppt 微课视频5Unit5 The Tapestry of Friendship1616Ppt 微课视频合计320(六)教材与主要参考书教材:综合教程,第二版 学生用书,上海外语教育出版社,2012(年份)参考书:1综合教程,第二版 教师用书,上海外语教育出版社,2012(年份)网络资源:沪江英语学习网站(七)考核与评价考核形式:闭卷考试。评价方式:形成性评价+终结性评价。评分标准:平时成绩占30%,期末成绩占70%(主要考察语法,词汇,阅读,写作,翻译等方面)。三、教学内容纲要英语精读课程教学内容纲要Book 1Unit 1 Text I Never Say Goodbye一、教学目的与要求 1.To understand the meaning of subject and realize the true meaning of “Never Say Goodbye”.(阐述文章主题, 体会标题“永不说再见”的寓意2.To understand the structure of the text and the devices for write a narrative essay.
