I could develop rigorous planning which can follow the planning step by step to complete the task. Secondly, my information gathering ability is remarkable. To complete the planning needed to gather information. I grasp the simple steps of information gathering through pressing information retrieval system in computer and a simple form of interviews. Therefore, the sources of information are identified more directly and effectively. After recognizing when information gathering and experience problems appear, I will try to solve those problems. The third, I have the good writing skills and oral communication skills which enable me to enter the Walmart and give an interview with Walmart employees and managers. At the end,the interview organized into files.But I also have some disadvantages, such as lacking of capacity to analyze the data, which makes me need the help of analytic tools. Also, I am lack of experiences in supply chain management. I may search the relative books and internet resources to assist me in understanding market situation.1.2 Title of the projectWalmarts supply chain management in ChinaThe investigation report on Walmarts supply chain analysis of three aspects: information technology, customer satisfaction and supplier relationships.1.3 Statement of the issue to be investigatedSupply chain management can bring great benefits to the enterprise, but many domestic enterprises is at risk of awareness in supply chain which has not been given due attention. This investigation survey selects outstanding foreign business experience in the implementation of supply chain management and analyzes them in dealing with supply chain risk strategy. It can provide a reference implementation of supply chain management for domestic enterprises in China. In this report, Walmart, for example, on the basis of enterprise development course, the experience of Walmart mainly summed up the successful implementation of supply chain management and combined with the actual operating conditions with effective measures in dealing with enterprise supply chain risks which should be taken reference. The three areas: information technology, supplier relationships and customer satisfaction, are not only conducive to Chinese enterprises to learn, but also more conducive to Walmart itself found to improvements.1.4 Aims and objectives of the projectObjectives 1. Establishing a mechanism for selecting suppliers1.5 Reasons for the choice of issue which must be directly related to a topicFirstly, the most fundamental purpose is to enhance supply chain management for Walmart competitiveness in market. Its primary goal is to improve customer satisfaction, namely to achieve the correct product or service, in accordance with the appropriate state and packaging with the exact number and reasonable cost, at the right time to determine the designated place for users.Secondly, The application of international physical distribution can promote the efficiency of logistics and distribution. Integrated logistics system to optimize the composition, rapid customer response chain and creating competitive advantage of time and space More important is the ability to minimize product sales, space distance and time distance services which achieve a rapid and effective response to customer needs and greatly shortened from order to complete the delivery cycle.Third ,the purchasing and using of theory select the members of the investigation, such as manufacturers and distributors, screening efficiency and inventory management technology, technical support from the Internet. Those can make access to external information, then they are closer to real-time and end customers to gain competitive market advantage of time and space.Supply chain management through the establishment of strategic cooperative partnership between the suppliers, give full play to the chain on core competencies and create competitive advantages overall. Implementation of supply chain management so that the original objectively existing supply chain organically linked, and all enterprises through cooperation and competition can achieve a win-win situation.1.6 Justification for the choices of business or businesses involvedFrom a remote Arkansas in the United States ,a small market becoming the largest enterprise nation in the world, Walmarts sales reached $ 312 billion, while the US GDP in 2005 was $ 1.6 trillion. Walmarts sales of the year is equivalent to one fifth of Chinas GDP. This is known as a really lament in the retail performance of sunset industry. Walmart still has some problems, such as suppliers of strategic management gradually reduce moral aspect. Only we need to improve is the supply chain and to continue exploring.In 1983, Walmart in collaboration with Hughes, spent $ 24 millions of the satellite launch. By the late 1980s, Walmart distribution center run fully automated. Each distribution center covers about 100,000 square meters area and sellers in the entire company has 80,000 kinds of commodities. The amount of sellers is 85% who supplied by the distribution center. The competitors only about 50% -65% of the centralized distribution of goods. Analysis of the conclusions of this paper is not only beneficial to the United States of Walmart adding the retail markets, but also the other wanted to open up the US appliance market. It is also beneficial for Chinese enterprises to take a reference. This supply chain information system can be upgraded by Gome, Carrefour supermarkets in the future.1.7 Explanation of the range of primary and secondary sources of information On the spot surveys, the research test the Wall-Mart supplier capacity and service levels. Such as Vendor Managed Inventory and E-system capability. The actual research and fieldwork from the factory in harnessing all kinds of information technology applications, such as Wall-Mart use case UPC technology, RFDC technology and efficiency of GPS. Through interviews and surveys of field information management system of the above, it is possible to see more clearly the real overall supplier capacity, more reliable sources of data. It is a good that the Wall-Mart distribution become the worlds best distribution system.Through questionnaires, we can learn different customers how they react to Wall-Marts supply chain services. Understanding the different income level and consumer satisfaction from Wall-Mart staff members and customers, it can clear the extent and character customization product evaluation system status of the supply chain in Wall-Mart. Focusing on the customers excellent service quality for enterprises can create profits, and other enterprise can use the study for further studying.Because of parents of job experience in the Wall-Mart,annual reports, vendor selection systems and industry standards Details can be more available to researching examine supply levels. In ensuring the authenticity of these can help other domestic companies to improve the selection of suppliers.1.8 Explanation of the how the investigation will be conductedPrimary source:on spot field on the Wall-mart suppliers and service levels, in accordance with the distribution theory of inventory management theory and procurement sourcing, alternatives can investigate Vendor Managed Inventory and satellite communication systems, and cargo transport system which will research on the GPS , RFDC and UPC technology.Web design questionnaire survey on consumer perceptions about Walmart and recommendations. According to procurement and supply chain key supplier evaluation criterion: cost or price, total quality performance and delivery, employee capability and process and technology capability.Second source: Wall-Marts annual report, macro statistics such as Wall-Mart, industry analyst reports, trade journals and databases can help finding information on Wall-Marts supply situation and supply facilities. Also, there are statistics about Its competitors supply chain status.Procedure: 1. Determine the topic, focusing on the Walmart supply chain management in China in a leading position.Procedure 2: In this thesis, the Wall-Mart supply chain information technology in attracting customers and suppliers to analyze the relationship between the three aspects. The use of advanced IT technologies UPC, RFDC and GPS technology will be introduced in the research.Procedure 3: Customer demand managements success in Walmarts logistics management and distribution theory which based on win-win cooperation with suppliers which is the key to the success of Walmart supply chain management and modern information technology success . The procedure 4:According to the above statement, to develop the relevant research goal and to investigate Wall-Marts supply chain management in China there are three goals need to be realized. It reveals the high-tech theory in wall-mart.2.0 The plan 2.1 Timescales for Conducting the Investigation At the planing stage, in order to collecting background information and technology information of supply chain management in Walmart from newspaper and internet and company profiles and this will cost 6 days from January 5th to 11th . In addition, I need interviewing Local Suppliers of Walmart around 1 days on January 18th. And then, i started to write the planning of the first part of report and this will cost about About 2 days from January 20th to January 22th and i will hand it on 10th March.At the developing stage,I am ready make a questionnaire and doing survey. The questionnaire will sent to QQ and We chat and the customers who have bought Walmarts products or be the potential customers. It costs 3 days from march 10th to march 13th. After survey, i have to collecting and organize the data in the website which will cost about 7 days from March 15th to March 23th. Then, I started to write the developing of the second part of report which will spend About 9 days from march 24th to April 1th.At the evaluation stage, after finish wr
