Unit 7 Section AWhats the highest mountain in the world?Period One (section A ,1a ,1b ,1c ,2a ,2b)【教学目标】一、 知识与能力1. 知识目标 学生会表达较大数字；学生能运用形容词的最高级（部分比较级）句型描述事物。 2. 能力目标 让学生在对比中运用较大数字、比较级和最高级进行口语会话。培养学生学习英语的兴趣和应用英语实际交流的能力，进而提高学生听、说、读、写等能力。二、方法与途径1. 注重学生学习形容词比较级和最高级句型的过程，使学生发散思维，联系实际，思考问题，解决问题。2. 学生在进行口语输出和书面输出的过程中，小组共同协作，使学生的综合能力得到提升。三、情感与评价通过比较，了解中国以及世界地理知识，培养爱国主义情操，以及通过了解珠穆朗玛峰及人类克服困难，挑战极限的精神。【教学重点】：掌握本课重点词汇, 重点句型和最高级的用法即知识目标的内容。重点单词和短语：square, meter, deep, desert , any other, in size，salt lake等。重点句型：1.Qomolangma is higher than any other mountain in the world.=Qomolangma is the highest mountain in the world.2.
