Get the children and come on.” So they went, driving down the country roads. There on a small hill, they saw a lot of beautiful purple lilacs. The young woman ran quickly to enjoy the flowers. Carefully, she picked a few here and a few there. On their way home there was a smile on her face. When they were passing a nursing home(养老院), the young woman saw an old granny sitting in a chair. She had no children with her. They stopped the car and the young woman walked to the old woman, put the flowers in her hands, and smiled at her. The old granny thanked her again and again. When people cheat, its not fair to other people, like the kids who studied for the test or who the true winners of a game were. Many people like the action of cheating. In their opinion, it makes difficult things seem easy, like getting all the right answers on the test. But it doesnt solve the problem of not knowing the material and it wont help on the next testunless the person cheats again. Some people lose respect for cheaters and think less of them. The cheaters themselves may feel bad because they know they shouldnt get that good grade. And, if they get caught cheating, they will be in trouble at school, and maybe at home, too. Some kids cheat because theyre busy or lazy and they want to get good grades without spending the time studying. Other kids might feel like they cant pass the test without cheating. Even when there seems to be a “good reason” for cheating, cheating isnt a good idea. If you were sick or upset about something the night before the day and couldnt study, it would be better to talk with the teacher about this. And if you dont have enough time to study for a test because of swim practice, you need to talk with your parents about how to balance swimming and school. A kid who thinks cheating is the only way to pass a test needs to talk with the teacher and his or her parents so they can find some solutions together. Talking about these problems and working them out will feel better than cheating.28. The author thinks that when kids cheat in class, . A. it is unfair to other people B. it does harm to their health C. teachers should punish them D. teachers shouldnt stop them at once29. Many people like cheating because they think . A. the material in the test is very difficult B. they want to do better than the others C. cheating can make hard things seem very easy D. they have little time to study their lessons30. The fourth paragraph mainly tells us . A. some kids cant pass the test without cheating B. why kids cheat in the test C. cheating isnt a good idea D. some kids dont spend the time studying31. We can learn from the passage that . A. cheaters are often thought highly of B. people show no respect for those who cheat C. parents whose kids cheat are often in trouble D. kids cheat in the test because of swim practiceDWe spend around one third of our lives in bed, and the body does a lot of its repair work as we sleep, so enough good quality sleep is very important to our health. It doesnt stop there, thoughsome sleep positions are healthier than others. So which sleep position is the healthiest?Sleeping on your back is the healthiest sleep position. Health benefits include avoiding back and neck pain. Because the head is raised above the stomach when you sleep on your back, this position is best for people who suffer from nighttime acid reflux (胃酸逆流) as well. Around 80% of heartburn(胃灼热) sufferers have problems during the night, so sleeping on their back could help a lot of people to enjoy a good nights sleep. If the sleep position alone is not enough to alleviate the condition, try raising the head of the bed by up to 4 inches by placing blocks under it.When you sleep on your back, your face is in a natural position. This means less wrinkles (皱纹).If you really cant fall asleep on your back, another healthy sleep position is the side sleep. Its almost as good as the back position, and its better for people who snore(打鼾) and their partners. Whichever sleep position you choose, use a pillow that supports the head and the neck without raising the head unnaturally, as this can bring neck pain.32.
