What about you, Mary?Ill hand out the sighs in the street!5._ 三、考点精讲 1. thanks to/ thanks for 意义不一样: thanks for 表示“因为而表示感谢”。例句:Thanks for your help. 谢谢你的帮助。 thanks to “多亏了”。例句:Thanks to your help, we finished the work in time.由于你的帮助,我们及时完成了工作。 用法不一样: thanks for sth/doing sth.=Thank you for sth./doing sth. 例句:Thanks for giving me a lot of help.谢谢你给我提供很多帮助。 Thanks to 相当于because of, 所以有2个部分。 例句:Thanks to your help, I have improved my English. 多亏你的帮助,我的英语进步了。2. be used to doing/used to do 意义不一样:be/get used to doing sth.表示习惯于做某事或习惯于某事,to是介词,后面要跟名词、代词或动名词。而used to do sth.则表示过去常常,to后跟原形动词.例句:Now he is used to getting up early.现在他已经习惯早起了. He used to get up early. 过去他经常早起.(意味着如今他不再早起了.)Youll soon get/be used to hard work.你会很快习惯于艰苦的工作的.3. put up/ put on/ put off/ put away 意义不一样:putaway把(某物)放在合适的地方;整理,例句:Putyourbooksaway. putup升起;举起搭起;例句:Putyourhandsup.举起你的手。Theyputupanewhousehere. 他们在这里盖了一栋新房子。 puton穿上;戴上,增加,发胖 例句:Heputonhiscoatandhatandwentout. 他穿上上衣,戴上帽子,就出去了。 putoff推迟(约会、旅行、访问等);推迟和(某人)的约会。put off doing sth. 推迟做例句Itsraininghard.Wedbetterputoffthesportsmeet. 正在下大雨,我们最好把运动会延期。 4. set out/set up 意义不一样:set up 建起,设立 例句: Our head teacher set up a Wechat group last week. 我们班主任上周建起了微信群。 set out出发,启程 例句:As you set out on your new journey. You shouldnt forget where you came from. 当你踏上新的旅程,你不该忘记你来自哪里。 用法不一样:set up sth. to do 建立目的是例句:I am sure you know that this group was set up to help disabled people like me.我确信你知道这个小组成立以帮助像我这样的残疾人。5. care for/care about 意义不一样:care for表示“照顾”相当于take care of。例句:He spent years caring for his sick mother他数年中一直在照顾生病的母亲.care for 还可以表示 “喜爱”, 常用于否定句及疑问句。例句:She doesnt care for that color她不喜欢那种颜色.care about 表示“担心、在乎、关心”相当于be worried about。例句: I really care about my work.我真的关心我的工作。6. borrow/lend 意义相似、用法不同:两者都可表示“借”,但是 borrow 指“借入”,而 lend 则指“借出”,两者其实是一对反义词。 例句:Some people neither borrow nor lend. 有的人既不借也不贷。表示“向某人借某物”,用borrow sth from sb,不能用 borrow sb sth. 例句:Dont borrow some money from her. 不要向她借钱。不能用“Dont borrow her some money.”来表达。表示“把某物借给某人”,英语用lend sth to sb,可以用lend sb. sth. 例句:He lent his pen to me. 他把他的钢笔借给了我= He lent me his pen.四、考点精炼一) 单项选择。 1Oh, you dont have a _.
