Do you like DIY?DIY brings us fun and help us save money. You can make a card for your friends or parents. They must be very happy.(教学目的导入课题)呈现前一课时的图片,复习工具名称If you have some tools ,such as brushes , glue ,rope,scissors and so on,what else can you make by yourself?(paper flowers , ship or plane models ,some nice toys,repair something . )鼓励学生根据实际情况回答,对能力较强的学生还可以鼓励他们进行介绍Step2 Presentation1. All of you like DIY so much .what about your father?In Suzys family , her father loves DIY very much .We can also say her father is crazy about DIY ,(呈现一张哭脸) but why is Suzy unhappy ? What happened to Suzys father ?Read the article silently and focus on the questions(学生回答不一定到位,但由于是课的开始,一定要肯定居多)How many paragraphs are there? 在黑板上呈现:1. Introduction of Suzys dad 2. Suzys dads DIY jobs 3. Advice (建议) from Suzy让学生把5个段落分成三个部分,以便让学生清楚文章的结构2. Read the article quickly and underline some difficulties教师板书:decorate ,terrible, mistake, electricity,hit a pipe ,fill 等生词或短语,利用时间集中教学。Finish Part B13. Listen to the tape more carefully and answer the following questions:(具体分析课文) 1. Do you think Suzys dad is good at DIY? 2. How does the house look after Suzys father finishes DIY? 3. Why was Suzys bedroom filled with water? 4. How long did it take her father put up a shelf? 5. What color was painted by her father? 6. Can Suzy put her books on the shelf? 给学生2分钟时间整理答案,然后抢答,不按顺序。教师核对答案1. Read this article by yourselves and finish B3. 目的提高学生的阅读能力,加深文章的印象。小组校对Step3 ActivitiesA: Group in four and discuss:1.
