Teaching procedures :Step I pre-task Greet the class . Play some voices, and ask : Can you guess what transportation it is. Let students guess how do I get to school.Step II while-task1. Talk about the different transportations with pictures. Teach the new words and ask students to read them.2. Practice the drilling.- How do you get to school?- I take the bus/ subway/ taxi. -How do you get to Beijing?- I take the train/plane.-How do you get to Guangzhou?- I take the car/ship.-How does he/she get to school?- He/She walks/rides a bike/ takes the bus to school.3. Section A 1aFirst ask students to look at the picture. And have the students make a list of how the students get to school in the morning. Write the phrases on the board.take the subway, walk, take the train, take the motorbike, ride the bike, take the taxi, take the bus, take the ship, etc. Lead the student to read the phrase for several times.4. 1c Pair workAsk two students to read the dialogue in the speech bubbles to the class. A: How does Bob get to school?B: He takes the train. Show some pictures, then let students make their conversations according to the pictures.5. 1b Listening. Have the students listen to the recording, and write the numbers next to the correct students in the picture in 1a. Check the answer, and let the students make sentences according to the names and the pictures.6. Game: Show Shen Yangs and Zhao Wei s pictures, let students guess how does he/ she go to work.7. Pair work: Im a reporter.Let the student practice the new language by asking and answering questions in the group.
