七年级英语 Unit 5 Do you have a soccer ball? 教学设计西安铁一中学 高瑞一、 教材分析: 1、教材的地位及作用: 第五单元“Do you have a soccer ball?”是围绕“Spending time with friends”这一话题,展开相关的教学活动,学习动词have一般用法。本单元的内容贴近学生的实际生活,通过学习,既便于提高学生知识水平和文化素养,便于进行审美、情趣等方面的教育,发展学生记忆、思维、想象、及合作意识。体现新教材生活化的融合话题,交际功能和语言结构的循序渐进的学习程序。 2、本单元的核心.语言项目是Ask and answer the ownership.以及make suggestions。中心话题是spending time with friends,学习邀请朋友做运动以及对某项运动的感受等。二、学生分析:七年级学生大部分在小学接触过英语,具备一定的表达能力,而且本单元的内容和实际生活很贴近, 所以大家的表达欲望都比较强烈。 在教学过程中,充分利用多媒体,图片、实物 等,鼓励学生开口说。激发其学习英语的热情。但由于学生人数较多,所以调控较困难。三、 教学思路设计: 根据初中英语教学大纲的要求,在课堂教学中,必须以学生为主体、为中心进行教学。因此我采用任务型教学策略为主、指导学生采用自主学习、合作学习的学习策略,培养学生综合运用语言的能力。结合多媒体,利用图片、实物等帮助学生记忆相关的词汇和句型;再设计一定的任务,帮助学生通过听说练习学会谈论对某一活动的感受,引导学生自主或者合作完成。四、 教学目标: 1.语言知识目标 . have一般现在时用法. .一些体育名称词汇。 .表达感受的几个形容词. . 一些交际用语的教学.2.语言技能目标 . 学会Do you加行为动词的一般询问。 . 能够用本单元所学的内容,提出建议,发出邀请。 . 学会询问他人的实际感受并进行描述。3.情感态度目标 . 培养学生学习兴趣,树立学生主动参与意识,培养学生自主能力。 . 树立明确的学习目的,用英语进行情感交流。 .“做中学”,学生在活动中学会与人合作。4、文化意识目标。 .了解不同国家的主要文娱和体育活动.如美国喜欢橄榄球,英国喜欢足球。 .对别人的邀请作出恰当的反应。 .用合理的方式表达自己的感受。五、教学重点、难点分析: 1.have的一般现在时用法: 掌握”Do you have” 一般疑问句及它的两种回答形式。 动词祈使句”lets .:提建议的表达。 2.一些体育名称词汇:3. 表达感受的几个形容词interesting,boring, difficult, relaxing ,fun 4. 交际用语:-Do you have a soccer ball? -Yes, I do./No, I don -Does he have a tennis rocket? -Yes, he does./No, he doesnt. Lets play soccer. Thats sounds intereting.六、教学过程:Unit 5 Do you have a soccer ball?SECTION AGoals To learn to use present tense to have; Yes/No questions and short answers; Lets; adjectives of quality To learn to talk about ownership To learn to make suggestions To enable the students to describe what he ownsStep I Warming up1. Ask students to take out their exercise books and have a dictation about the words of unit 4.2. Ask students some questions about the Olympic Games and lead them to the new words they will learn. T: Our country held the Olmpic Games last month. I believe you have seen many fantanstic games. Did you see the basketball game between China and the USA? S: Yes. T: Ok. Today we will learn something about the sports.Step II New words Ask students to look at the flashcards of the different sportsthings. Read each of the words for them. T: Class! Whats this in English? Just guess.S: Its a basketball.T: Very good! Read after me, please.Step III Presentation 1. Ask students to open their books to P.25 and do the exercises in 1a. Then check the answers in class.2. Learn about present tense to have, Yes/ No questions and short answers. T: Do you have a basketball? S1: Yes, I do.T: Do you have a tennis racket? S2: No, I dont.T: Does he have a volleyball?S3: Yes, he does. Ask several pairs of students to present the short dialogue like the example in 1a.Step IV Listening and circle 1. Explain the meaning of “circle” for them. Let them read the given words first.2. Play the recording for twice. For the first time, circle the answers. And the second the time, check the answers by themselves.3. Ask one student to check the answers in class. Answers: ping-pong bat , computer gameStep V Pairwork 1. Read the example conversation in the book.2. Give students several minutes to make new dialogues according to the examle. Remember to tell the students to use the words they learn today.3. After they present the conversations, the teacher then give them some other words learn before to practise the drills. Words: easer pen schoolbag ID card S1: Do you have an easer? S2: No, I dont. / Yes, I do.4. If they do the practice very well, the teacher can encourage the students to say something they have.Step VI Listening 1. Now lets go to page 26. Please look at these four pictures and well hear the conversations in the pictures. Listen carefully and number the pictures (1-4). Ok, lets check the answer: 3, 1, 4, 22. You will hear the tape again, but this time you have to mumber the balls in 2b. Just listen carefully and I will ask one of you to read out your answers. Answers: 3, 2, 1, 43. After finishing the exercise, the teacher can let the students to repeat dialogues according to the pictures and what they heard in the tape.S1: Do you have a soccer ball, Peter? S2: No, I dont.S1: Does your brother Alan have one?S2: Yes, he does.Step VII Pairwork 1. Ask the students to look at the picture on the left and elicit the different vocabulary items.2. Now look at the picture in 2c on page 26. It is the picture of a room. Is it the same as or different from your room? Please ask about the vocabulary items in the room with your partner. You should tell the truth when you answer the questions. Then present the dialogue with your partner in the class. The samples: A: Do you have a basketball? B: Yes, I do. A: Do you have baseball?B: No, I dont. Do you have a dresser? A: Yes, I do.Step VIII Groupwork What sports do you like to play? Who are your favorite sportsmen and sportswomen? Please look at the poster in part 4 on page 27. Imagine that our school has a Sports Club with all the sports that you like to play. Please fill in the form with your personal information. Then role play conversations with your partners. One of you is a student, the other is a coach.Sample conversation: Coach: Whats your first name? S: Jim. Coach: Whats your last name? S: Green. Coach: What sports do you like? S: I like basketball.SECTION BGoals To learn to use some adjectives to describe sports To write an short passage about what you ownProceduresStep I Warming up Welcome back to the English class. I think most of you like sports. Some students like the soccer ball, the others like ping-pong ball, and still others maybe like basketball. Why? Because you have your own likes and dislikes. Today well learn some new words to describe the sports.Step II Matching and drawing a pictureHere on page 28 are five words in 1a. Lets see if they can express your feeling about sports and other things. Read them loudly and match each picture with one of the words.Now please draw pictures that show something interesting, boring, fun, difficult or relaxing. Then show the pictures to your classmates and let them guess which of the five words the picture shows. Step III ListeningLook at the five words again. Next well listen to a conversation. When you hear the word of them in the conversation, put a checkmark to the left of each word in 1a. Ill play the recording twice, listen carefully please From the conversation above we got to know about the four activities they mentioned. And we know that they have decided to play basketball at last. What does Tony say about each activity? Listen to the conversation again and write in the word on the blank line next to each activity.Step IV Doing pairwork Now practice the dialogue in pairs. One student plays Tony and the other one plays Jenny, talking about the activities in 2b. You should read the dialogue in 2c first, and then make your own conversation.Sample dialogue:Jenny: Lets play computer games.Tony: That is too difficult. Hmmlets play basketball!Jenny: That sounds fun!Jenny: Lets play volleyball.Tony: That is too difficult. Hmmlets play football!Jenny: That sounds fun!Step V Reading and writingLook at the picture in 3a please. Read the passage and circle the words that are about sports activities. When you read, please pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.After that, fill in the missing words in 3b. Now please write about yourself. What sports do you play? What sports things do you have? What other things do you do? For example, collecting stamps. You can say, “I collect stamps. I have many beautiful stamps”. You can start with “I play, I have”Sample article:I play sports every day. I have a soccer ball, a tennis racket, ten ping-pong balls and two Ping-Pong bats. I also collect CDs. I have fifty CDs. Pl
