参赛内容:初中7A Unit 8 第五课时襄阳市宜城市砖庙中学张才锋简历:1998年参加工作,担任英语教学工作2000年担任英语教研组长至今现教班级:七(2)班教学质量自评:本人自认为能胜任初中各年级英语教学,教学效果显著校办联系电话:07104322509个人联系电话esson plan of Unit 8When is your birthday ?(第5课时)一、教材内容分析Parts 3a4 of Section B and Self Check will be covered in the fifth period .Section B , 3a、3b部分通过结对活动来巩固句型When is ?首先要展示一些活动,如:Volleyball game , Art Festival , Chinese Contest , Music Festival 等,然后让学生结对相互提问完成相应的表格任务。Part 4 可以设计成一个游戏比赛。Self Check 重在检查学生对单词的掌握及日期的写法。二、教学目标1、Section B Parts 3a4 的主要内容是复习、巩固“日期的询问和应答”,学会谈论自己、同学以及父母家人的生日,并学会自己安排作息时间。2、Self Check 的主要内容是复习词汇,引导学生复习、巩固“询问和谈论日期”的目标语言并运用所学的知识安排活动。三、教学过程Step 1: Lead-in , presentation and practice ( 10 minutes )1、The teacher asks if the students have some activities at school . Then list some , such as Basketball game , School trip , Volleyball game and so on . Learn the new words and expressions volleyball game , Art Festival , Chinese Contest and Music Festival .2、Give the students an example to ask and answer like this :T:Joe , when is the school trip ?S:Its October 26 and 27 .3、Get students to do pairwork and ask them to talk about date arrangement of activities mutually according to the activity calendar to use the target sentences correctly , then finish the teaching task of Part 3a.【设计说明】通过列举一些活动,并对此进行问答,既复习了本单元的重点句型When is ?又引入了新的词汇学习,同时又以任务型活动的形式让学生巩固了“日期的询问和应答”。Step 2 : Practice and pairwork ( 10 minutes )1、List some school activities on the blackboard such as School Day , Art Festival , Chinese Contest , Music Festival , English Party and so on . Tell the students : Now imagine you are a school headmaster . Which of these events will you have at your school ? Im a reporter . Ill interview some of you . Then the teacher interview some “headmasters” like this “(Rreporter , Hheadmaster )R: Im a reporter from CCTV . I want to ask you some questions , OK ?H: Sure .R: Do you have a School Day ?H: Yes , we do .R: When is it ?H: Its April 19th .R: Do you have a/an ? 2、Get students to read the content in Part 3b and fill in the form to finish the teaching task of Part 3b .【设计说明】创设真实场景,让学生在真实的情景中运用、巩固目标句型When is ? 同时又对目标句型进行了扩展,让学生能在现实生活中加以运用,提高能力。Step 3 : Game and groupwork (10 minutes )1、Divide the students into several groups . Let them play a guessing game . For example :Im fifteen years old . My birthday is January 1st . I like baseball and volleyball . My favorite subject is English . I like red and green . Who am I ? Explain years old on the Bb . Say Im 15 years old means Im 15 .2、Let the students play the game in the groups first . Then let them play in the whole class . The group which guesses the most is the winner . 3、Finish the task of Part 4 .【设计说明】这个游戏不仅能帮助学生自由复习和运用目标知识来提高学生的表达能力,同时也增进了学生之间的了解和友谊。Step 4 : Summary ( 5minutes )1、The main content of this unit is to learn how to ask about dates with the special questions led by when and express dates with the ordinal numbers .2、One important content of this unit is to learn the structures and usage of the possessive case of nouns . The teacher can explain it in Chinese .【设计说明】通过用汉语小结本单元的重点知识,让学生在头脑中形成清晰的知识系统,在以后的温习中能有的放矢。Step 5 : Exercise ( 10minutes )一、请将月份与相关的中西方节日配对。1. January A New Years Day (元旦)2. February B Tree Planting Day (植树节)3. March C Fools Day (愚人节)4. April D National Day (国庆节)5. May E Teachers Day (教师节)6. June F Spring Festival (春节)7. July G Christmas Day (圣诞节)8. August H Thanksgiving Day (感恩节)9. September I Founding of CPC (建党节)10. October J Mothers Day (母亲节)11. November K Fathers Day (父亲节)12. December L Armys Day (建军节)2、自制英文日历。为了减小学生的工作量,可以让学生制作自己和家人所在月份的日历,并且要标注出自己的生日及家人的生日。【设计说明】把所学的知识运用到现实生活之中去,不仅可以让学生学会用英语表达日期,而且还可以让学生了解一些中西方的节日,并总结、记忆从第一到第三十一的序数词的英文表达。Step 6 : Homework Let students do Self Check as their homework .(1)Get students to check the key words they know and let them write some new words in their notebooks , finish the
