material composition suitable for use in the South China Sea Anodes shall be a standard model or series in regular production at the manufacturer s place of business 阴极保护系统应由牺牲阳极组成 同时阳极金属应适合南中国海的海况 阳极应是 标准有序生产的 4 SYSTEM DESIGN 系统设计系统设计 A cathodic protection system utilizing sacrificial aluminum alloy anodes suitable for protection of steel in a submerged marine environment uniform structure polarization Anodes shall be located such that a uniform distribution is attained Areas requiring increased anode concentration conductor bays etc shall receive particular attention S0046 9 Size and weight Anodes shall be of weight and dimensional shape suitable for a minimum 10 year protection nominally 614 lb net weight of alloy Core The core shall consist of nominal 4 inch schedule 80 A106 GR B pipe Anode material shall completely surround the core In general the anode material is made by casting the anode around a steel core Prior to casting the melt these cores shall be de scaled degreased grit blasted and cleaned to a near white finish in accordance with SSPC SP 10 within 24 hours of casting or before rust blooming appears As most of the alloys do not at all fuse with the steel core they shall be provided with indentations or other means to mechanically key the anode material adequately The design of the core in the anode material shall be such that excessive loss of anode material caused by crumbling away of the anode from the core is unlikely before 90 depletion of the anode has been reached Steel core bar type anodes shall have sufficient exposed steel to allow for easy installation by means of welding The steel core should be of sufficient strength to support the anode material in combination with 350 psf storm forces Particular attention should be paid to the attachment details of core to the marine structure Standoff Legs shall be offset per manufacturer requirements from the core centerline Standoff legs shall be fabricated by 2 smooth bends of the core through anode end faces curvature of the core to begin no closer than one 1 inch from each anode end face Fabrication of legs by bending the anode core through the lower anode face is prohibited The free ends of the legs will be welded to the jacket member with four 4 1 4 by 6 x 6 gusset plates on each pipe standoff unless otherwise shown on the Drawings CONTRACTOR shall shape the gusset plates to fit the contour of respective tubular or doubler plates and weld all around the gusset and doubler plates Doubler plates of 1 2 ASTM A36 are required where anodes are attached to jacket members with wall thicknesses less than 3 4 and where attached to special high strength steel The plates are to be welded all around to jacket members The standoffs shall be seamless ASTM A106 GR B or API 5L GRB 6 GUARANTEE 担保担保 The CONTRACTOR shall guarantee the minimum Electro chemical value of the anode material offered in ampere hours per pound and this guarantee shall be furnished with the information shown required in 7 0 below Furthermore the CONTRACTOR shall warrant that all data calculations assumptions etc used in the subject cathodic protection system are applicable and in accordance with COMPANY CACT OPERATORS GROUPDATE REVISION COUNTRY CHINA06 04 030 LOCATION SOUTH CHINA SEADOC NO SHEET OF CACTOPERATORS Group AREA HUIZHOU FIELDSCACT NONE S F993 S0047 9 responsible engineering practices and industry standards A listing of all pertinent design criteria assumptions and sample calculations demonstrating the effectiveness of the subject system shall be supplied with any and all proposals 7 MATERIAL INFORMATION 材料信息材料信息 CONTRACTOR shall furnish the following information relative to the anodes 承包商应提供以下阳极材料的信息 7 1Dimensions 直径直径 Dimensions of drawings of all anodes and supporting parts or accessories and as follows 所有阳极和支撑部分或附件的直径如下 Dimensional Tolerances 直径公差 The maximum deviation of anode dimensions shall not exceed 1 2 12 mm of that specified 阳极直径的最大偏差不能超过 12 mm Surface Defect Tolerances 表面缺陷公差 The anode surface should be generally free from defects affecting the anode efficiency Anodes with the following defects will be rejected 阳极的表面一般不能有影响作用的表面缺陷 以下缺陷不能被通过 Cavities exceeding 1 2 12 5 mm in the largest dimension and 1 4 6 mm in depth 最大直径超过 12 5 mm 和深度超过 6mm 的洞 Cracks exceeding 5 64 2 mm in width 12 300 mm in length and intersect each other 宽超过 in ampere hour per pound for the anodes 7 3Anode Weights 阳极重阳极重 The weight of each anode shall be within 2 of that specified and the total weight of anodes shall be within 1 2 of that required based on parameters stipulated herein 7 4Electric Potential CONTRACTOR shall supply minimum maximum and average closed circuit potential in volts for each pour COMPANY CACT OPERATORS GROUPDATE REVISION percent by weight 7 6Quality Assurance and Quality Control Procedures CONTRACTOR shall provide the quality assurance and control procedures for the cathodic protection system 7 7Test Procedures ACT OG the prevailing governmental authority and their representatives shall be permitted full access to the foundry and all sub contractors facilities to witness inspections at times arranged in conjunction with the contracted anodes manufacturing It is the Contractor s responsibility to perform all inspections specified in the quality control procedures and this specification or as requested by ACT OG At ACT OG s request an inspection shall be made prior to commencement of casting to ascertain that moulds casting equipment and other components comply with the applicable codes of practices The extent of inspections specified in this Section or as otherwise specified on contract drawings are minimum standards to apply If a substandard anode is detected the subsequent number of anodes to be inspected shall be doubled from the previous inspection The inspection shall consist of the following a Weighing Each anode shall be weighed b Dimensional Measurement At least 10 of the anodes on a marine structure shall be measured to verify compliance c Surface Visual Inspection All anodes shall be visually inspected for possible defects d NDT Inspection At ACT OG s request a prescribed percentage of the anodes shall be non destructively tested NDT for defects The testing method s shall be determined by ACT OG and shall be in accordance with ACT OG s specifications At least one 1 anode from each production casting shall be tested to measure its closed circuit potential and Electro chemical efficiency If the sample fails either test two 2 additional samples from the same lot shall be re tested The anode lot w
