Analysis of the students(学生分析) 1.The students just graduate from primary school, study English at middle school for more than one month. They are interested in English but they are not confident in using or speaking English. Most of them said their English class were occupied by Chinese or Math lessons. Compare the score of the 2 units before,the students of class7&class8 are under the average of grade .2.The students foundation just so so, they can hardly memorize the vocabulary and they lack of the ability of using the sentence orally.3.Students had learned the first period of this unit, they had learned :Vocabulary of family members Whos she?Shes This / That is my friend Jane. These /Those are my brothers.4.Students had mastered the pronunciation , the Chinese meaning and the usage of this ,that, but for these or those, they are not familiar, especially when using them with is ,are, easy to confuse when making sentences. II. Analysis of the teaching materials (教材分析)1. Contents and adaptation (教学内容和教材整合) Section A 2a &2b&2c&2d a) listening (2a;2b) b) speaking skills(2c;2d)2. Teaching aims (教学目标)a) Know how to catch the key information while listening b) Help the Ss use information to make conversations.c) Ss can use the sentence patterns to introduce peopled) Help the Ss know that why they should be an excellent person. . 3. Language points (教学重、难点) a) Grammar: Master the usage of demonstrative pronouns b) Listening: Get main information from the conversation. c) Speaking: Learn to use demonstrative pronouns: this, that, these, those to introduce people. d) understand how to change the declarative sentence into simple question sentence III. Requirements of the national curriculum (课程标准) According to national curriculum for English, the teaching aim is that students should participate English activities, share the success, opinions and develop their essential abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing. The communicative abilities in English are also very important. IV. Teaching methods (教学方法) 1.Communicative Method(交际法) 2. Task-based Teaching Method(任务型教学法) a) Task one: Introduce their family members b) Task two: Talk about whose family member they want to be.V. Teaching aids(教学工具 ) Photos, computer, recorder, tape cassette, blackboards, chalks and task paper.VI. Who are they ?Task 1:.Ask Ss. to take out their family photos and introduce their family members.1. Look at the pictures and tell the names of their classmates(whole class)2.
