PEP English of Junior 1 Unit 4Wheres my schoolbag?Teaching planThe first period(SectionA 1a-1c)李翠兴 楚雄州武定县万德中学一、 Textbook analysisWheres my schoolbag?是义务教育课程标准人教版七年级上册第四单元,The first period(Section A 1a-1c)主要是谈论话题“where things are”,围绕学习“询问物品的位置”而展开多种任务型的教学活动,使学生学会基本句型Wheres/Wherere?Its/Theyre on/in/under ;学会运用方位介词“on/in/under”来表达物品的位置。Through the above aspects of learning, so that students learn to use the word to listen to Key words, that these learning strategies, identify the location of items. This will not only allow students to understand their own home environment, love their home, but also it can encourage students to design their own ideal room and a new understanding of good living habits through imagination. Train the students to develop a clean, tidy, reasonable arrangement of good habits.二、 Student analysisThe students in grade seven have just come into contact with English learning. It is very fresh and active. But some students maybe cannt fit the ways of studying changes from primary to junior high school. So teachers leading role and students main role should be accounted for half. The students are good of foundation, excellent academic atmosphere and high enthusiasm, In the teaching, the organic infiltration learning methods, the cultivation of learning habits should be used as the focus of teaching. 三、Learning aims(一)Knowledgen objects1.Function: Talk about where things are.2.Vocabulary: where, table, bed, bookcase, safe, chair, in, on, under.(二)Ability objects: Talk about where things are.(三)Moral objects: Keep your room clean and tidy.四、The difficulties and importance in teachingKey points: Have the students grasp the usage of“ where ”questions.Difficult points: can use the prep related to direction correctly, such as in, on, under. Use these preposition to describe where is sth.五、Teaching tool PPT六、teaching proceduresStep 1 GreetingStep 2 Lead-inPlay a game.Purpose for this part:T:teaching is based on the characteristics of subject. S:put students into English learning wordStep 3 Show the learning aimsThe purpose for this part:T:teaching aim is the foundation of teaching. S:make sure what are teaching aims,and do teaching activities correctly.Step 4 Learning new wordsUsing ppt to show the pictures,then teacher ask:Whats this in Chinese? Students:show the answer of each question,then read the word after the teacher.The purpose for this part: T:students in junior are good at imagining things in their shapes,and they are active、energetic.S:teaching something in shape is easy for students to learn what the teacher to teach, which will improve studentsconfidence in English learning.Step 5 1aMatch the words with the things in the picture.The purpose for this part:T:knowledge from daily life.S:students are good at reciting the names of things that students are familiar with.Step 6 Game: Who has the best eyes?PPT displays what will be learned in order to test the response.The purpose for this part:T:Education is not to teach what students need to learn but teach students how to learn, whose aim is to motivate studentsinterest in English learning.S:the questions which is special and new are easy to motivate students to learn English.Step 7 PrepositionShow the projects make students understand the meaning of inonunder.The Purpose for this part:T:stimulating benefits to students level in memorizing something.S:comparing with other things in order to motivate students observing skill and enhance knowledge. Step 8 SentenceShow the picture on the PPT, and learning the sentence : Where s the ? Its on/in/under theFind out some differences and commons.Purpose for this part:T:Learning and acquiring knowledge is a spiral rising model. The aim of English teaching is to promote studentsabilities in speaking、listening、writing and reading.S:learn step by step,then promote studentsdesire to study. Step 9 Pair work (work on 1c)Show some things on the PPT and let students practice in pairs.A: Wheres the ? Where are the?B: Itsthey arePurpose for this part:T:to teach students how to learn more than what to learn.S:talking can enhance teaching atmosphere and promote teaching efficiency;cooperation is symbol of good learning.Step10 Listen to 1bBefore listening: ask students to catch the key words and listen carefully with their eyes and ears.1.Play the recording for the first time. Students only listen.2.Play the recording for the second time. Get the most words or letters of the group to win. The winning group will get a surprise prize.十、Teaching reflection(一)advantages: 1.PPT is practical and great,easy to use it.2.Teaching manners is nature,teaching language is clear.3. Three-dimensional objects is proper.4. Teaching atmosphere is harmonious.5. Characteristics of teaching is obvious,teaching abilities is proficiency。6. Using new curriculum theory,practice “ three integrations teaching principle” 7. Teaching atmosphere is active,students can devote to learn totally; enjoy teaching and learning.(二) disadvantages1. Pay more attention to learn knowledge and skills but less in learning methods. Teaching students how to learn in the basis of teaching,especially for students in junior 1,this period is the best time for students to learn sth. A good method will be helpful for students
