Conclusion.17Bibliography19Acknowledgements精品文档摘 要英语阅读在我国英语学习中占有重要地位。词汇是阅读理解的基础,提高词汇水平是提高总体阅读水平的重要组成部分。决定外语阅读理解能力的因素很多。但对于第二外语或外语的大学生而言,似乎众多英语老师和大学生都认为词汇这一因素最为关键。学生的词汇量不够丰富,单词的记忆过于孤立,语法学习不够系统,语言基础知识不扎实,从而阻碍阅读的顺利进行。在英语阅读理解中,依靠构词法方面的知识,教给学生通过上下文推测生词词义,培养良好的阅读习惯和提高阅读能力。本文试图利用词汇分析法来探讨英语学习中的阅读理解。关键词:词汇;词汇分析;英语阅读理解AbstractEnglish reading plays an important role in English learning, and the vocabulary is the base in English reading, extending the size of words is the most important part of improving the English reading. Foreign language reading comprehension ability is decided by many factors. However, for the second language or foreign language students, it seems that many English teachers and students think that the vocabulary of this factor is the most critical. Students vocabulary is not rich enough, the memory of the word is too isolated, not systematic grammar learning basic knowledge of language is not solid, thus impeding the smooth progress of reading; Second, the lack of reading skills as invisible barriers hinder the students reading efficiency and reading comprehensive capabilities. In English reading comprehension, the teacher relies on a good knowledge of word formation to teach students how to speculate the meaning of words through context and to cultivate good reading habits and improve reading ability. This article discusses the importance of the use of vocabulary in reading comprehension analysis from the lexical analysis and reading comprehension and how to use this method in the classroom. The feasibility of this method has found that in practice. Foreign language learners get the information by reading the various forms of material, so as to achieve the purpose of the study.Key word: words;analysis of words;English reading comprehension application.Application to the Analysis of Word in English Reading ComprehensionI. IntroductionIn the process of learning English, vocabulary is particularly important, it is the foundation stage of learning. The only way to gain vocabularies is reading, through a lot of reading, the learners can get a natural expansion on vocabulary; or by root, which is simply the pursuit of expanding vocabulary. No doubt these two methods have its drawbacks. It can not help learners use the learned vocabularies flexibly, and with the time passing by, it makes the learners easy to get tired of it. In this process, vocabulary and reading comprehension plays a vital role. Reading comprehension is a complex cognitive activities, vocabulary learning is a gradual process, remember that some words are not difficult, but combining with the voice, semantics, syntax, and other parts of the vocabulary, then understanding a word is really a long process. Learning vocabulary in reading can not only help students remember vocabulary, but also help students truly understand all aspects of these terms. So, to develop students reading habits, and teach students basic reading skills to improve students reading ability is also vitally important. Lexical analysis of the law refers to guessing the meaning of the words or just ignoring the vocabulary. It is very important to teach students vocabulary analysis, which can not only help students leap words difficulties and improve the quality of reading, but also can enable students to become an independent learners. Thus, reading comprehension and vocabulary analysis are closely linked to how we implemented teaching of vocabulary analysis in the classroom.1.1Research Questions of the Present StudySometimes, it is kind of wasting of time for many students when they are doing English reading comprehension exercise, and the result is not satisfactory. They generally like to read word by word, as long as there are some words they dont know, they will look through the dictionary or ask other students about the meaning. When the teacher teaches English reading, the teacher usually translates or asks students to translate the sentences directly, and then provides the answers. From this kind of teaching method, we can say they pay little attention to the improvement of students reading level and ability. Although, many students have accustomed to this traditional mode of teaching, they are difficult to master these words. The students have to learn how to understand the meaning of the words in different contexts. So the way when the students doing reading, which translate word by word cant be good reading habits and reading skills.1.2 Research SignificanceThe reading ability is the most useful and the main language skills in the language knowledge. Reading is a good language foundation, and the information channel and English application ability are based on a large number of language input, especially on the basis of a lot of reading. Therefore, how to effectively improve the students English reading ability in the whole of English learning process is especially important. In the present teaching practice, although many teachers pay lots of attention vocabulary and also they spend lots of time on teaching it, the actual results are often not as good as expected, at last, it turns out that the student still cant master the vocabulary well and still get a unsatisfactory scores which makes a lot of teachers puzzled. After class, the student usually doesnt have the self-consciousness to acquire extracurricular autonomous learning, and they dont know how to consolidate in the extracurricular time by using their words, which can lead to words difficultly to understand and master.1.3 Research PurposeThe vocabulary is usually the major problem for many Chinese college students when they learn English. As the linguists Wilkins puts it: no grammar, people can express very few things; without words, people are unable to express anything. In college English teaching materials, vocabulary is the key for the students to understand, master, and deepen the students to understand the content of the text. In reading comprehension, new words are the biggest obstacle for the students to understand the article, therefore, the teacher can use 10 minutes in the student readings before they use first chapter for more than 10 minutes of to let the students memory the words before the teacher beginning the class, for these words will appear in the article. Then, the teacher can according to the characteristics of the text, and put forward some relevant fast reading, and asked the students to complete it within the prescribed period of time. In the process, to solve these questions, students can not turn to the teacher to ask the meanings of the new words. With these provisions, students in the direct purpose (i.e. understand chapters) drives, achieved the first memory of words. Teachers reading questions to complete the process, thus students in the real language environment and know word again, then he is trying to understand these words, so as to finish reading tasks better.II. Lexical analysis theory of lexical analysis skillsVocabulary plays an important role in the personal development of language skills, and vocabulary size has a direct impact on developing languages skills like listening, speaking, reading and writing. The vocabulary is an essential part of the language, and without vocabularies, the language will lose its practical significance. If the students have poor vocabulary ability, and the meaning of the words is vague for them, it will disorder their expression and also understanding. As Wikins said, in Linguistics Language teaching, without grammar, the meaning can be conveyed very little; without vocabulary nothing can be conveyed, that means, the contents can be expressed narrowly without a good knowledge of syntax and the contents can be expressed nothing without a knowledge of vocabulary. So we can see how many vocabularies a person mastered has a direct impact on his language skills, and it will affect the accuracy and the extent of his expression of ideas. In this sense, vocabulary plays an important role in the personal development of language skills. Students mastering word formation method well will be very helpful for their reading comprehension. We can say, mastering derivative words (commonly prefixes: un ,an, ,dis , re ,im , and suffix ful , ly , tion, ment, etc.), and through compound words, students can expand the vocabulary in an effective way, and also can improve students reading comprehension and speed.2.1.1 The Multifaceted View of Vocabulary KnowledgeUsually the article has a close relationship with cultural diversity and language borrowed the exchange of presents between the various cultures in a diverse state, and this diversification is reflected in the language which should be noted, when teaching English reading, we need to focus on the vocabulary based on different cultural connotation, and we should understand and study this difference. To learn this difference, we should start from the basic vocabulary, point out the similarities and differences of culture and the arts, which can help and understand of cultural differences. In addition to clarifying its concept of part, we need know the professional meaning in different cultures to prevent errors in understanding. Besides, a systematic manner in the textbooks contains a certain amount of social and cultural content of education, which is a conjunction of the languages, and a reflection of cultural characteristics. Guide students to read, observe and accumulate on different cultural connotations in the vocabulary can enhance reading skills.2.1.2 A Conceptual Framework of Vocabulary KnowledgeBased on the word knowledge framework network theory, this research is oriented to explore the development of the depth of vocabulary knowledge. Both still in mother tongue and foreign language learning, vocabulary learning plays an important role. The vocabulary knowledge framework for vocabulary study also plays a role which can not be underestimated. The Knowledge of vocabulary can include spoken form, written form, grammatical behavior, collocations, frequency of use, style, meaning and semantic association network applications. Lexicalized nature of the process and results of language evolution of the semantic components integrated into the word: the vocabulary of research should adopt a diversification perspective from different angles, which based on generative grammar theory, the features and the type of vocabulary words theory which has more explanatory power. Vocabulary knowledge framework provides researchers with a wealth of information. The process of practice has proved that vocabulary knowledge framework can help to remember vocabulary. 2.2 Test of Vocabulary Knowledge: Breadth and DepthVocabulary is the foundation of the language, and it plays a crucial role for the foreign language learners. This article aims to explore English as a second language environment and how to understand the depth and breadth of vocabulary in reading comprehension for English major students English. Words breadth knowledge and depth knowledge in reading comprehension have a close connection. The study shows that, for the English major students, vocabulary acquisition is not just learning its form and meaning. In fact, vocabulary acquisition and vocabulary knowledge is actually a complex procedure.2.2.1 Three Dimensions of Vocabulary AssessmentWith the appearing of the information, society and knowledge economy era, todays education is becoming a people-centered, knowledge-centric thing. The concept of lifelong learning has emerged, and people propose an idea of independent learning ability. By independent learning ability, students can learn how to learn is one of the important goals of the new round of curriculum reform. The new curriculum requires teachers to change the traditional teaching methods to strengthen the cultivation of students learning strategies, and enhancing its capacity for independent study. The vocabulary is the main component of the language system, while language learning is difficult to master, because there is no word which is unthinkable in any language. However, the English vocabulary teaching in secondary schools in the inefficient status which contusion both teachers and students enthusiasm and confidence. More and more educators are aware of relying on teachers classroom teaching and students rote memorization to learn the vocabulary is not enough. Vocabulary learning problems become one of the problems to be solved in the current middle school English teaching. Allow the learner to bear the responsibility for learning, vocabulary learning by learners self-learning can improve students vocabulary, thus to help them improve their language level better, and also it has become the goal of language teachers. The promotion of learner autonomy is a hot topic in the past 20 years of foreign language teaching. Autonomous learning in foreign language learning demands attitudes, capabilities and environment. Firstly, this paper introduces the meaning and characteristics of independent learning and independent study in foreign language learning, discuss the concept of independent learning English vocabulary and the significance of self-learning of vocabulary and theoretical basis. Secondly, the vocabulary independent study three dimensions described, that are vocabulary independent learning attitude and the concept of vocabulary learning, motivation, interest, will, vocabulary self-learning ability are involved in vocabulary learning of cognitive strategies and cognitive strategies, and vocabulary independent learning environment should be the role of teachers, learning materials, resources, classroom atmosphere, and cooperative learning to be considered.
