Teaching ProceduresStep I Warming -up T: Good morning boys and girls. Ss: T: Thanks, sit down please. Ok, boys and girls, lets do some warming-up, ok? Ss: T: Good, Ill do it first, look carefully. “up, up, stand up, down, down, sit down ”(老师必要时用汉语说,一边说一边做动作),now, follow me, “up, up, stand up, down, down, sit down” Ss: The teacher creates a situation that she cannot find her schoolbag. You, read it.Sb: T: Good job.Use the same way to teach “bed”,“bookcase”, “sofa”, “chair”.2. More practice by the game “whats missing?” and reading these wordsone by one or group by group. 3. 1a Point to each word at the left and ask Ss to read them together. Then, ask Ss to match the words with the objects in the picture by writing the letters of the objects on the lines next to the wordsAt last, check the answers together.Step III Cooperation and Exploration1.Show Ss some picture, and ask them: where is Tom? Inthis way, the teacher can lead out “on, in, under”; then do more practices about “where is , its on/in/under”T: Boys and girls, look here, this is Tom, where is Tom? Ss: T: Yes, its in the box. Then ask Ss to work in pairs, and make their own conversations by using the words in the box. Then , ask them to play. T: Ok, classmates, all of you did good job. The teacher will create a situation about Jim (Jim cant find his objects, can you help him?) Then, play the recording and ask Ss to listen and number. T: Now look at this room, this Jims room, he cant find his objects, can you help him? (In Chinese)Ss: T: Now listen and number the things in the picture1-4.(听录音,为图中物品编号. )Ss: Play the tape and ask Ss to listen, then play it again, ask Ss to listen and number, then check answers.(ask one student to share his answer to others). Step Extension In this part, the teacher will show a picture to Ss and say: Is the pen onthe table? By doing this, Ss review what they learned before.A: Is my pen on the table?B: Yes , it is.C: No , it isnt.Step VII Summary and Homework T: Today you have learned some new words, what are they? Read them together.
