Unit6Do you like bananas?Section A(1a-2d)一、 Analysis of the teaching material: Food is a popular topic. This class is the first period of Unit 6. It focuses on talking about the students likes and dislikes of fruit. This topic is very interesting and practical. So it is useful and helpful for the students to raise learning interest. Before this class, students have known the Simple Present Tense in last unit. This unit can review this tense. Students can have a chance to practice their abilities of speaking、reading、listening and writing.二、 Analysis of the students: My students are about 13 or 14 years old. Theyre curious、active and fond of games、 competitions、 songs and various activities. They enjoy learning in the exciting and relaxed atmosphere. The theoretical basis guiding this teaching design is task-based teaching. In this lesson ,I set up various activities to involve my students in lively and interesting teaching situations and activate the class. 三、 Three dimensional teaching aims:Knowledge Objects:1、 Function: Let the students know how to talk about their likes and dislikes by using the present tense. Learn some new words about food.2、 Key Vocabulary :hamburgers, tomatoes, pears, oranges ,ice cream, salad, bananas, strawberries, like3、 Target Language:(1)-Do you like bananas? -Yes, I do./No, I dont. -Does he/she like apples? -Yes, he/she does. No, he/she doesnt.(2)He/She likes He/She doesnt like 4、Structure: The countable nouns and uncountable nouns. I like apples ;I like apples I like oranges ;I like orangesI like pears ;I like pearsI like watermelons ;I like watermelonsAfter listening to the song, the teacher divides the class into five groups.(apples group、oranges group、pears group、watermelons group and bananas group)Let these groups have a PK in this class and then find the winner of this class. 【Purpose】 This step can make the class relaxed and harmonious . Let the teacher and the students have the same sympathetic response. While-taskSet up the situation. (Suppose the teacher takes the students to the supermarket .There are some activities in the supermarket to celebrate the Christmas. Let the students finish these tasks and find the winner.)Task one-Guessing1、 Show some pictues on the screen and cover most of the pictures,let the students guess what they are.And then learn the pronunciation of these words by themselves.2、 Ask the students to find the differences between the countable nouns and the uncountable nouns using some pictures.3、 Do the activity 1a.(Match the words with the things in the picture) 【Purpose】 Learn from the words. Make full use of the resources avaliable and improve the students competence of communication. Setting up the situation can attract the students interests. Task two-Practicing 1、Enjoy a video about Bobs dream and let the students pay attention to the dialog in the dream. ( Learn the new sentence pattern: Do you like hamburgers?Yes, I do./NO,I dont.) 【Purpose】The video can attract the students interest and enliven the atmosphere. Stimulate the students curiosity.Learn the new sentence pattern in a lively atmosphere. 2、Ask the students to make a similar dialog with their partner and then ask some pairs to act their dialogs out.【Purpose】Develop the students ability of self-study and attract their interest.4、 Play a game .Groupwork Ask the groups to make a dialog like the below dialog and have a PK to find the winner.A:I like apples. Do you like salad?B: Yes , I do .I like salad. Do you like pears?C: Yes , I do .I like pears. Do you like oranges?D: Yes , I do .I like oranges.
