Greetings and Lead-in1. T: I know most of you like English. But there are many difficulties in learning English. What things are difficult for you? Can you tell us? Maybe we can help you to get over them.2. Students say their difficulties and the others think out ways to solve them.Step II. 1a/1b1. Read the instructions to the class.2. Ask students to find ways to solve them.Step III. 2a1. T: There is a boy. His name is Paul. He has a difficult time in learning English. Now he is talking to his teacher about his problems. Lets look at 2a. First read the items in the char and then well listen to the tape. While you are listening, please check the learning challenges he talks about.2. Listen and check.3. Check the results with the students.Step IV. 2b1. T: Yes, Paul has so many challenges. But he has a good teacher. She gives Paul some suggestions to solve the problems. Lets listen to the conversation again. Look at 2b. Match the challenges in 2a with the solutions. 2. Students listen and match. 3. Check the work with the students.Step V. 2c Pair work1.
