Environmental Protection教学设计 灵武市东塔学校 授课教师:李敏This lessonEnvironmental Protectionis designed according to the topic in Unit 13 We are saving the earth, which mainly talk about environmental pollution and advocate students to learn to protect our environment by doing little things. Learning to reduce, reuse and recycle. In this lesson, Students are asked to write a composition about environment using what theyve learnt .一Teaching Goals:(一).Knowledge and skill (1)To learn some useful phrases about environmental pollution:give out harmful gas; throw rubbish on the ground; keep water running; throw litter into the river; cut down trees; use plastic bags.(2)To enable Ss to use part of speech to predict listening content before listening ,improving their listening accuracy.(3)To master basic steps in writing: search -list-connect-beautify-check.(4)To communicate by group coorperation, finishing key sentences translation about environment.(5)To apply phrases and sentences about environmental pollution and protection into writing,improving writing skills.(二).Process and method goals(1) By answering questions in video Earth Songand describing pollution around them in the pictures, Ss can realize the severity of environmental problems, leading them to improve environmental awareness.(2)Ss can actively coorperate with others in the group, help each other, finish teaching goal together and enjoy the fun of learning.(三).Emotional attitudes and value goals(1)To establish environmental awareness by learning environmental pollution.(2)To learn to do little things around them.二Analysis of StudentsThe topic of Unit 13 is We are saving the earth,its mainly about environment.Ss can participate activities about environment around them according to what theyve learnt in Unit13,further extend activities about environmental protection.Ss have cognitive premise about this part ,enabling them to connect with this unit.By learning this ,Ss can improve their writing skills as well as establish environmental awareness.三Key and difficult pointsBy learning language material, Using some phrases and key sentences to describe pollution around us ,and freely use into practice according to our real life, then write a composition about environmental protection. How touse what weve learnt to write a high quality compositionaccording to basic writing steps is a key and difficult point.四Teaching ProcessActivity【活动1】Watch avideo and answer questions(1).PlayingavediocalledEarthSong.(2).Finishingquestions after watching.Teachersactivity:(1)GuidingSstoreadquestionsinadvance.(2)Playingvedio, askSstowatchcarefullySsactivity:(1)Readquestions(2)Watchingthevideoandthinkaboutquestions.Purpose:IntriguingSsinterestandenablingthemtorealizetheseverityofenvionment. 保存修改 取消 删除 上移 下移 上方添加 下方添加 【活动2】Playagame Askonestudenttopointpictures, otherssayphrasesTeachersactivity: Askingonesthdenttopointpicturesinrandom,otherstodescribethepollution.Ssactivity: onestudentpoint,othersthinkandsayphrasesaboutpollutinassoonaspossible.Purpose:EnablingSstorememberphrasesaboutpollutionaroundus,accumulatingknowledgematerialforcompositon.【活动3】Listen to the listening material, then fill in blanks.Teachers activity :(1)According to part of speech like because of +nouns phrases and so on,guiding Ss to predict answers before learning.(2)Playing listening material save the world,asking them to finish listening exercise, then correct and read the passage together.Ss activity :Asking one student to write on the white board, others write on the exercise paper,then exchange with their partner to correct ,in the end, read the passage together.Purpose:(1) By predicting answers in advance,Ss can learn to grasp listening strategy.(2)To learn some key sentences about environmental protection(3)To improve Ss listening skills.【活动4】Translation Asking four students in a group to discuss ,then translate the sentences into Chinese or English.Teachers activity: Displaying six sentences in white board and ask four students in a group to discuss .If any group has problems ,put up your hands and teacher will guide them. After discussion,teacher ask Ss to answer one by one.Ss activity:Group discussion to translate the sentences on the paper.Purpose:To strengthen phrases what theyve learnt and master some key sentences in order to write
