Mom always says that you should do this or you shouldnt do that. But in fact, mom loves us best. Do you think so? This class lets enjoy an English poem “Mom Knows Best. Step 2 Before reading:Listen to the poem with your eyes closed. Then introduce the English poems to the students.Step 3 While reading:1. Skimming. Read the poem quickly, answer the question :What does the title mean?-Mom knows whats the best for me.2. Scanning. Scan the poem, which word is mentioned the most frequently ? -When.3. Careful reading.(1) Divide this poem into three parts. Enjoy mothers love.Be tired of mothers love.Think back mothers love.(2) Read Part 1 and answer the following question. What did the mom do when the writer was a baby and a small child?- His mom took good care of him and protected him.(3) Read Part 2 and answer the following questions. 1.Why do you think the writer talked back to his mom when he was seven and nine years old?- He thought he was not a baby. 2. How did the writer feel when he was a teenager and his mom said “Please be back by ten”? -He was seventeen and he should not be told what to do !Read Part 3 and answer the following question:After reading the whole poem, how do you think the writer feels about his mom?His mom is a good mother. Section A 3a-3c. 是一节阅读写作课。阅读文章为诗歌Mom knows best,因此本节课既有任务型阅读及写作,又有对本首英文诗歌的赏析。同时,通过赏析诗歌,对孩子进行情感教育,应该爱自己的父母。本节课比较成功的地方有:1、 通过歌曲Mothers Song,导入本节课的内容,符合本节课的主题,新颖自然。2、 任务型阅读环节符合孩子的认知规律。首先,阅读分为Before reading, While reading, After reading,Writing 四个环节。While reading 分为Skimming,Scanning 和Careful reading 三个环节,并结合任务,由浅入深,层层递进。3、 赏析诗歌以及欣赏A story
