Unit5 What are the shirts made of ? Section B(2a-2e) -王月花一、整体设计思路1.本单元的教学活动始终遵循任务型教学的教学理念,以学生为学习的主体,以任务为中心,在运用语言完成任务的过程中来学习,体会和掌握语言。2.本节课是本单元的阅读板块,旨在培养学生阅读能力的同时介绍最具中国特色的传统艺术如孔明灯、剪纸和泥塑,包括它们的制作工艺、制作原料和象征意义等。本课以英语课程标准(2011版)中的核心理念为依据,力求通过本课的设计,使学生在运用阅读策略获取信息,找寻主题句,预测故事情节的过程中,发展思维能力和综合语言运用能力。3.在英语学习过程中,阅读策略的有效使用,不仅可以帮助学生提高学习效率,而且有助于学生形成自主学习的能力,为终身学习奠定基础。因此,在本课中,通过布置阅读训练任务,训练学生的阅读策略。通过快速阅读,让学生了解文章结构的特点之一-先总体介绍,后细节描述。要求学生先快速寻读文章,找到表格中的信息,即文中所提到的传统艺术形式和制作所需材料。通过精读,让学生关注文章细节,帮助他们加深对文章的理解。通过回答问题,提高学生用英语获取信息,处理信息及分析问题和解决问题的能力,培养思维能力,提高综合运用语言的能力。4.本节课主要分为三个任务活动,即读前活动,读中活动,读后活动。读前活动围绕阅读主线提问来激活学生的背景知识。读中活动来训练学生的阅读策略,理解文章内容并获取文章的信息。读后活动是开放性的读后讨论,通过讨论可以加深对中国传统艺术的了解和欣赏,也为后面的写作做铺垫和语言储备。 二教学目标1.通过阅读,获取有关民间传统艺术的信息。2.在阅读中,关注并归纳被动语态的形式,意义和语法功能。3.通过学习,了解文章的结构特点-先总体介绍,后细节描述。4.了解传统艺术品的制作过程以及制作材料,让学生感受传统艺术给生活带来的影响,激发学生的民族自豪感.三、教学重点和难点Teaching Importance:阅读短文,获得相关信息,提高学生的综合阅读能力。Teaching Difficulty:阅读短文2b部分的内容,并完成相关要求。四教学过程Step One:(读前活动)1. Show some pictures of the paper cutting on the big screen. Tell students they are Chinese paper cuttings. Its one of the Chinese traditional arts. T: Do you know folk or traditional arts? Now discuss with your partner. Ask some students say what they know about the folk or traditional arts.(围绕阅读主线提问,可以激活学生的背景知识,也可以处理会造成理解障碍的生词,同时还可以复习学过的单词和词组,提高单词的复现和巩固率)Predict before reading.Let students look at the title and the pictures and predict:What common things are mentioned in the reading?How many traditional art forms are mentioned? What are they?(让学生预测,可以激起他们的好奇心和阅读欲望)Step Two:(读中活动)一.Let student read fast, ask the students questions: Which part gives a general introduction? Where can you find specific details?(快读,验证预测,并让学生关注从整体介绍到细节描述这一策略)二Read the passage and complete the chart below.,then check the answers(寻读,巩固文章重要内容) Traditional art formMaterials usedSymbols三.Work on 2c: 1.T: Now lets read the passage again and answers the questions.(再次阅读,让学生获取更多的细节)What do traditional Chinese are forms try to show?What were sky lanterns used for before and what are they are they used for now? Why?2. Let students read the questions first and make sure they know the meaning of each question. 3. Students read the passage and answer their questions. 4. Check the answers with the class. 四Work on 2d:(巩固文章中的重要短语,学生根据阅读后的记忆来完成填空,来锻炼学生的记忆和思维) 1. Let one student read the phrases in the box and translate them into Chinese.2. Students read the sentences and complete the sentences using the correct forms of the phrases in the box.3.
