Use the mind map to help students to understand the passage.3. Consolidate the use of linking words by answering some questions and doing some exercises.4. Consolidate the target language through making conversations and writing practice.情感、态度与价值观1.We should speak highly of human intelligence and creativity.2. Never give up, whenever we meet difficulties.教学重难点1. 教学重点: Learn how to make inferences using modal verbs and give some details to support the inference. Master some linking words and phrases.4. 教学难点: How to improve students ability to read and write using the target language of this passage.教学步骤Step 1. Lead-in 1. Make some inferences on the new teacher. (利用学生对新教师的好奇心拿教师自身做导入一方面能吸引他们的眼球,另一方面也能直接引导他们用情态动词来做出推断,为下面学生对巨石阵的推断提供语言帮助。) 2. Show a picture of Stonehenge and try to make inferences on it.(自然地导入文本)Step 2.Presentation 1.Please scan the passage and match the general idea with each part.(这部分的设计是让学生对全文有个整体的了解,为下面的思维导图做铺垫) Para.1 Mysteries about Stonehenge Para.2-3 Introduction of Stonehenge Para.4 Inferences(推断)on Stonehenge 2.Please read the passage carefully and discuss in groups to finish the mind map. Share a movie about the Pyramids 2.Write a passage about the Pyramids(金字塔) with the help of the key words and information that are shown on the screen. First they can discuss with their partner in groups. (运用所学知识巩固提升,是本堂课的升华部分,目的是培养学生综合运用目标语言的能力)Step5.
