The topic of this unit is about “Learning how to learn”. Through the learning, students are required to master how to use “By doing sth.” to talk about the ways of learning English. According to the communicative situation, students can talk about different ways of learning English and then achieve the use of the target language. In the process of language learning, they can learn how to study English well. The class is the second period, it trains Ss listening. Including activity 2a and 2b for practicing listening. activity 2c for speaking and activity 2d for role-play conversations. Analysis of learnersDuring the period of the students, they are confident in communicating and showing themselves. So they can involve in the activities. They have some knowledge of words and phrases about the ways of learning English . It is easy for them to use it to talk about the ways of learning English . They can make a sentence easily. And the key structure of “By doing sth” is very easy, so it is easy for students to use it to use it correctly. They just need to pay more attention to “doing”. Therefore, the process of learning can be easier.The topic is close to the study life. So students are interested in learning them.Teaching objectives1. Knowledge objectives: Students can master the new words and phrases: conversation, aloud, pronunciation, sentence, patient, have conversation with, speaking skills, spoken EnglishStudents can learn the following structures: (1) Do you learn English by watching videos? (2) Do you ever practice conversations with friends? (3) What about listening to tapes? (4) What about reading aloud to practice pronunciation? (5) Have you ever studied with a group?2. Ability objectives: Students can use the target structures to talk about the ways of learning English. .Students can get the key words and the key information through listening and improve the listening skills.3.Moral objectives: Ss can learn about others ways of learning English and learn each other so that they can learn English better.4. Learning strategy: Students can work in group and cooperate with each other.Importance1. Learn to use the new words and phrases, talk about the ways of learning English.2.
