Talk about the two pictures with the students by asking them some questions, such as Have you ever been to a shopping center? Do you like going to a crowded place? Have you ever been there before? Why dont you like going there?, paying attention to using ever and before which are used in the present perfect tense. .then say today Michael and Kangkang have been to a shopping center .now Michael is talking about it with Maria on the phone. Lets listen to them. Step 3 While-listening 1 Students look through the sentences in 1b before they listen 2 Play the tape twice, students listen and finish 1b, teacher check the answer. Step 4 Reading 1 Students read 1a loudly and carefully, then finish 1c, they can discuss in groups, the teacher give them some help if necessary. Teacher checks the answer. 2 Explain some key points, such as notany more, callup, the structure of“so”.
