Unit 12.Life is full of the unexpected(九年级)Section A3a3c (广福中学 张玲)一、 设计思想:新课程理验突出“以人为本”,重视学生能力的培养。这就严格要求老师上课应该“以老师为主导、以学生为主体、以任务为基础”贯穿整节课,要让学生在愉快中学习语言。本节课是阅读课,老师应该尽量创设情景鼓励学生合作,让学生在做中学,在做中练,在老师的指导下完成阅读任务并逐渐掌握阅读技能。二、 教学目标:使全体学生都掌握本节课的重点词汇与短语和基本了解过去完成时的用法与结构;通过学习使学生认识到生活中充满着许多出乎预料的事件,培养学生正确看待事物的积极心态。使80%的学生能用本节课的重点词汇与句型复述课文;使60%的学生能充分运用本节课的重点词汇、短语和句型能比较流利地讲述自己曾经有的特别的一天,并能灵活运用英语进行听、说、读、写等活动。三、 教学重、难点:1、 本课的生词与词组;2、 句型:Life is full of the unexpected. I was about to go up when I decided to get a coffee first. As I was waiting in line with other office workers, I heard a loud sound. Before I could join the others outside to see what was going on, the first plane had already hit my office building.3、 进一步熟练掌握过去完成时的用法并区分一般过去式、现在完成时及过去完成时。4、 学会用过去完成时叙述自己曾经有的特别的一天。四、教具与方法:多媒体辅助教学法用课件、交际法、阅读法、自主学习和合作探究法,体验实践、展示自我,发展听、说、读、写等综合语言运用技能。五、教学步骤:Step1 Revision1. Revise what happened to Tina by asking several students to tell the story.eg. S1:What happened to Tina this morning? S2:She overslept. And by the time she got up, her brother had already gotten in the shower.S3: When she got to school, she realized she had left her backpack at home. 2. Show the second picture:T:The buildings were burning. And the black smoke rose above the two buildings. T: What can you see in Picture 2?S: T: What happened to New Zealand on Feb.21nd?S: I think there was an earthquake in New Zealand on that day.Step3 Reading 1. Ask Ss to have a look at the question first ,then let them read the passage and answer it: Which two events does the writer mention?2. Fast reading Para1 with the following questions then answer:1) What time did the writer arrive at World Trade Center on September 11,2001?2) What did the writer decide to do first? 3)How away was the coffee place from his office?3. Fast reading Para2 and then put the following events in the correct order.A. I work up at 10:00 a.m. on February 21, 2001 and realized that my alarm never went off.B. By the time I got to the airport, my plane to New Zealand had already taken off.C. The next morning, I heard about the earthquake in New Zealand the day before.D.
