Students can talk about the past events and tell stories with the past progressive tense.2. Students can use “while”and “when”correctly .教学过程:Step 1 Greet. 1. Lets begin our class. Say like me. “good, better, best, we can do the best.”2. Lead in. This class, we will learn “What were you doing when the rainstorm came ?” 3. Priew test.4. Show some pictures to the students to learn the new words and phrases of this part.Step 2 presentation 1. Show some on the screen some grammar explanations for the new tense. 2. Students to read and learn the sentences on the screen.3. Look at the picture and think about what has happened. Pay attention to the time phrases.Step 3 work on 1a. 1. Read and match the statements with the right picture.2. Read and recite the place phrases.Step 4 Work on 1b. 1. Read the phrases.2. Listen and circle.3. Check the answers.Step 5 Speaking.Talk about what the people in 1a were doing at the time of the rainstorm.Step 6 work on 2a-2b1. Listen and number the pictures 1-5.2. Listen again and fill the blanks.3. Listen again. Then find the right answers of the three questions. 4. 2c Pair work 5.
