Teaching aims(1) knowledge objects:To grasp the new words: allow, wrong, look through, guess(2) Ability aims:To learn to talk about your problems and giving advice.(3) Emotional aimsTeach students to help others by listening to others and giving advice.2. The teaching key points:To learn to talk about problems and giving advice.3.Difficult point:Learn how to talk about problems and giving advice and how to respond to others advice.4. The teaching procedures:Step1.Previewing check and reviewing(1) To check students previewing of the new words, then correct their pronounciation. And ask students to remember the new words.(2)To review the ways to care for othersThe teacher ask students if they kown how to care for others and let them think about the questions and check their answers.(3) To review how to responde to others advice.Step2. Lead-in(1) Show students several pictures about the students stress and problems with a poece of touching piano music. Then ask studens two questions:Q1:Are they happy?Ss:No, they arent.Q2.Whats wrong with them?Ss: They have problems and stress.(Help the students to answer it)Then ask students:”Do you have the same problems in your daily life?”Ss:Yes,I have.T: So now have a discussion about your problems with your partners.Ask students to discuss with each other about their problems and stress.Then have several students to talk about their problems.Step3.Presentation(1)After discussion, the teacher ask students to look thourgh the problems together to teach the expressions about problems. And try to help students say the complete sentences. And explain the conjection”so” and help students use the conjunction”so” to connect two sentences.For example, I have too much homework so I dont have enough sleep.I have too many after-school classes so I dont have any free time to do things I like.(2) Ask students to finish 1a. Look at these problems. Write the problems in the appropriate box.(3) Ask students to remember the expressions about their problems.Step4.Listening practice(1) Lead in the listening with a situation that Sally is talking about her problems with her friens. Ask students to listen to the recording carefully and circle the problems they hear in 1a.(2) Listen again and check the answers together.(3) The teacher explain the key structures and key points in 1a and ask students to take notes.Step5.Pair work(1) Ask students to role-play the recording and make up new conversations with their partners according to some suggestions on PPT.(2) Encourage students to talk about their problems in their daily life by using the target labguage.Step6.Exercise(1) Game test-Forest AdventureFirstly, teach the students about the game rule.(Try to solve the problems in the boxes and escape away)Secondly, invite six students and ask each student to choose one box and try to solve the problem.Thirdly, give them applause and encouragement to students.(2) Ask students to finish the translation of the phrases and the single choice questions.Step7.
