It could/might be Jims. he has a blue one . 2Ability goals: Students can learn to make inference. 3Emotion goals: 培养学生的逻辑思维和推断能力 三、Teaching key points and difficulties. 1. belong to 2. 情态动词 must/ might /could /cant+动词原形 四、Teaching tools: The blackboard, multimedia courseware .五、Teaching method: 探究式教学, Pairwork, Groupwork 六、Teaching Procedure: Step1 Lead in Say hello to the students ,then play the recording and let students listen an English childrens song. After that, students can make conversations with the pictures. S1: Whose Puppy is this? S2: Its Mings. Step2 Pre-task 1. 通过展示CD, novel,小发夹引出单词classical music, author, hair band.并教读单词. 2. Groupwork Students do groupwork to guess the owner of a book. A: Whose book is this? B: It could be lucys. She likes Luxun very much. C: No,it cant be hers. Its Jims, because his name on it. Step3 While-task Task1 1. Look some pictures and guess whose things these are? 2. 1b Listen and match each person with a thing and a reason. Students can listen twice. 3. Do pairwork according to three pictures. A: Look! Whose toy car is this? B: It must be Janes little brothers. Because he was the only little kid in the picnic. Task2 1. 2a Listen and write down the things in the backpack. The recorder will be played twice. 2. 2b Listen again and fill in the blanks. Students will listen twice. And then, they will check the answers together. 3. Guessing game. Students will see two pictures on PPT, and do the guessing game. Can you tell me what is it/ are these? It could be a vase(花瓶). They might be two faces . Step4 Post-task 1. Grammar Focus Students can discuss how to use the modal verbs. Then, they can read the PPT together. 2. Exercises Students will do the exercises.
