Unit 4 Dont eat in class (Section B 1a 1d )学情分析: 本单元Section B 将规章制度出现的场所由Section A的“学校”转到“家庭”。本节课是一节听说类型的课。学生在Section A部分已经学习了校规及图书馆的规章制度,并且学会了用情态动词及祈使句去表达规则。为本节课家规的学习奠定了基础,同时因为本节课谈论是与学生生活息息相关的话题,因此学生对学习家规产生了浓厚的兴趣。本节课的难点在于8个动词词组和8个时间状语,并且还要区分cant, have to , must的应用,这给学生听力造成了一定的困难,因此要求学生在课前必须做好课前预习。Teaching Aims and demands 1.knowledge aims:To master the following some phrases and some sentences.A: go out see friends do his homework practice the guitar do the dishes watch TV help his mom make breakfast clean his room on school nights every Saturday before dinner in the evening on school days after dinner after school every morning B: Dave cant go out on school nights.Dave has to do his homework after school.Dave must practice the guitar before dinner. 2.Ability aims : Train students speaking and Listening skills.3.Emotion points : As students, we must obey the school and family rules. Learn to be a polite student anywhereImportant Points 1.Master the phrases and the sentence structure “ I have to/must” , “ I can/cant”2.Learn to talk about family rules .Difficult Points:1.Describe the rules of the places correctly and fluently.2.Train students speaking and Listening skills.教学策略:1. 听前策略: 通过预习检测,学习并掌握8个动词短语和8个时间状语的词组,为听力学习奠定语言材料。2. 听中策略:强调听力的方法,通过播放四遍听力材料,由学生填写并检查答案。训练学生听力能力。3. 听后策略:让学生对听力材料再加工形成写作材料,展示写作成果,提高学生写作能力。Teaching methods : Presentation Practice Listening Report Teaching tools : multimedia Steps:Step 1 Warming-up and revision1. Greet the class as usual.T: Good morning/afternoon! How are you?2 . Follow the teacher to make a chant.Clap, clap, clap your hands. As slowly as you can .Clap, clap, clap your hands. As quickly as you can .Role, role , role your hands. As slowly as you can .Role, role ,role your hands. As quickly as you can .Shake, shake ,shake your hands. As slowly as you can .Shake, shake ,shake your hands. As quickly as you can .2.Play the videos to students. Today I bring some exciting and interesting videos to you! Before enjoying them, I will give you some questions:(1).What rules do the students break in the videos? (2).Are they good students? (3).What should they do? Try to find the answers to these questions when you watch the videos.T: Now can you tell me the answers to these questions? (Ask some students to answer these questions.)Attention : When we describe the rules , we often use “SB have/has to/must/can do, SB cant do / Dont do to describe.T: Well done! You all know the rules of the school very well! So you are all good students! But can you tell me the other rules of the school? (Ask some students to talk about the other rules of the school.)Step 2 Presentation 1.T:. OK! Just now we talk about the rules of the school. Do you know the rules of other places ?.In which places we have to obey the rules? Ss: (libraries, dining rooms, school, Class, our houses, etc.)T: We have learnt school rules, class rules, library rules, today well learn some rules in your houses. 2. Test. A. Show some phrases and ask the students to translate then into English .B. Then let students to read them three times each one. 3.Talk about the pictures. Show some pictures and phrases ,get students to match the pictures with the phrases and draw a line . Then read the phrases three times each one.Step 3. 1a 1.T: There are many rules in hour houses. So everyone in your house has to obey the rules of your house. Now, open your books! There are some house rules . First, look at the pictures,2.T: Now look at the rules under the pictures. Read the rules together. 3.T: OK! Now match each rule with one of the pictures. Write the letter of each picture on the blank line in front of one of the rules. For example, Picture a matches with the second rule. ( Give the Ss 1 minute to prepare) Check the answers. Get a student to write the answers on the screen. Step 4 Listening (1b)T: Great! I have two friends. Their names are Emily and Dave. They are talking about the rules of the house. Listen to a conversation between them. I will play the tape for two times. 1. For the first time, only listen carefully to put an X for things Dave cant do and a for things he has to do . 2. For the second time, listen and check the answer. 3. Check the answers with students.(get a student to write on the screen )Step 5 Listening (1c)First get students to read the phrases .1.Listen ,write when Dave has to follow the rules in the chart in 1b. Choose from the phrases in the box.2. Listen again ,get students to check the answers. Check the answers with students. (get a student to write on the screen )Step 6 Report 1.Let students retell the sentences together. 2.Get students to write a report on the notebooks. 3.Show the reports on the screen and check them.
