Section A(1a1c) 确山县竹沟镇完全中学 李倩一、教材分析 本单元是人教版初中英语新教材八年级下册第二单元,本单元的核心话题为offer help。围绕主动提供帮助,以听力理解、观察图片、分角色表演、小组合作等方式和独立学习、讨论交流、完成任务等形式完成语言目标的输入和输出。以You/ We could ; Lets等句式和自己所能做的事情来提供帮助为主要学习内容,并设计了任务型语言实践活动,让学生在实际活动中学会如何表达自己的想法,重在培养学生的习得语言运用能力、实践能力、合作能力以及助人为乐的意识。我的教学设计思路是:1、遵循任务型教学的理念,以学生为主体,以任务为中心,在运用语言完成任务的过程中来学习,体会和掌握语言。2、全过程贯穿以交际为目的的原则,让学生在做中学,在学中用。3、在教学过程中,关注学生的生活实际和自身体验,坚持以学生为中心的原则,提倡并鼓励学生参与课堂,通过学生独立思考及小组合作探究,从而实现对知识的掌握及运用。二、教学目标 1. 语言知识目标:1) 能掌握以下单词: clean up, city, cheer, cheer up, give out, volunteer2)通过听说,能掌握本课时重点句型:You could . 3) 能了解以下语法: 情态动词could的用法及如何表达主动提供帮助。2. 情感态度价值观目标: 在授课过程中渗透助人就是助己,助人收获快乐的情感目标,使学生在谈论如何为别人提供帮助的对话中能意识到尽己所能,帮助他人,乐于奉献是一种良好的品德,培养学生为他人着想,热爱公益事业,乐于助人的优良品质。三、教学重难点1. 教学重点:1) 掌握这些短语动词的构成和用法: clean up, cheer up, give out, hand out 2) 学会提供帮助的基本句型:Id like to work outside.Ill help clean the city park.You could give out food at a food bank.2. 教学难点:学会提供帮助的基本句型 四、学情分析 本单元的中心话题是提供帮助,整个单元的内容是围绕提供帮助,以及志愿活动展开生动、活泼的对话和阅读。而且这些志愿活动与我们的生活密切相关,通过本课的学习,要求学生能够谈论自己帮助别人的方式,学会关心社会,关心他人。从而关注身边的生活环境,从小事做起。引导学生体会志愿活动,投身于社会公益事业。根据新目标对学生交际能力的培养,我将本课设计为一堂听说课。通过听力口语训练,帮助学生输入地道的语言材料,为提高学生的语言表达能力及输出奠定基础。 五、教学过程设计Step 1 Greeting&Warming up1. Do you often help others?Step 2 PresentationShow Ss some pictures about offering help and lead them to do a pairwork using “could” and the following drills:A:How could you help people?B:I could.Step 3 New words1. Learn some new words andexpressions:clean up 打扫;清除(v.+adv.)e.g. The students take turns to clean up their classroom. 学生们轮流打扫教室。cheer v. 欢呼; 喝彩 e.g. Cheer up. The news isnt too bad. 振作起来,消息还不算太坏。cheer up (使)变得更高兴/振奋起来 (v.+adv.) e.g. Lily is unhappy these days. Lets cheer her up.volunteer v. 义务劳动,自愿做 n.志愿者 volunteer to do sth. 义务自愿做某事e.g. Many people volunteer to work on the farm. 很多人志愿到农场去工作。give out 分发;散发=hand out (v.+adv.) e.g. Please help me give out these test papers. 请帮我将这些试卷发下去。2.Match the phrases with the Chinese meanings.Step 4 Discussion1. 1a. Look at the ways you could help others. Then list other ways.2. Ss discuss with their partners and write the ways one could help others: Help plant trees by the river. Help clean up the city park. Visit the old people in the old peoples home. Help young kids to learn English. . Step 5 Listening practice1. T: Tell Ss to read the sentences in the chart. Make sure they know the meaning of the sentences. 2. 1b. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and number the ways the boy and girl could help others. _ The girl could visit the sick kids in the hospital to cheer them up. _ The boy could give out food at the food bank. _ The girl could volunteer in an after-school study program to teach kids._ The boy could help to clean up the city parks.
