Thank you. Let me start my lesson from Unit 4 Dont eat in class. This is a listening and speaking class, which includes three parts, materials analysis, teaching instruction design and teaching program. I. Material analysis 1. This units topic is talk about rules2. Key pointsEnable students to talk about rules3. Difficult pointsEnable students to talk about their own rules. 4. Teaching objects: Language Knowledge Objects:1) Master the following words:rule, arrive, on time, hallway, dining hall, listen to, fight, sorry, outside 2) Master the sentences structures: Dont arrive late for class. You must be on time.We cant listen to music in class but we can listen to it outside. Language Skill Objects: 1) Students can talk about the rules they should follow and talk about the things they cant do; 2) Students can listen for specific information; Emotional Objects: Nothing can be accomplished without norms or standards. Teaching difficult and important points:1. Master the sentences structures: Dont arrive late for class. You must be on time. We cant listen to music in class but we can listen to it outside. 2. T: Please look at the picture and list their school rules. (Show the Ss the picture on PPT, and explain what to do) 2. Listen and write the numbers after the names. 3.Check the answer together. III. Pair work: Role-play 1. Divide the Ss into pairs. Each group has two students. 2. T: Now please work with your partner and imagine one of you is a new classmate and the other one tell he /she about the school rules. e.g. S1: What are the rules? S2: Well, we cant arrive late for class. Dont fight with your classmates.S1: OK, thanks. 3.Have Ss practice and present their own conversation.IV. Listening 1. T: Please look at the chart and check the activities Alan and Cindy talk about.2. Tell Ss to listen to the tape and circle can or cant. 3. Check the answers: V. Pair work:1. Divide the Ss into pairs. Each group has two students. 2. T: Now please work with your partner and imagine one of you is Alan and the other one is Cindy . Then talk about their school rules. e.g. S1: Can we listen to music? S2: Well, we cant listen to music in the hallways. But we can listen to it outside.S1: OK, thanks. 3.Have Ss practice and present their own conversation.List and report1. Show an example to the students, let them know how to list the rules and give a report. 2. Divide the Ss into groups of six T: Can you list the rules. Have Ss choose their own number and then list the rules and give reports 4. Give Ss the emotional education.
