Students answer together.Then, ask two students, “What were you doing at 8 am yesterday?” 、“What were you doing at 12 yesterday?” 、“What were you doing at 10 last night?”. Students replied as “I was doingat 8 am”、“I was doing at 12 yesterday.” “I was doingat 10 last night.”Step 2 Presentation1、Activity 2aBefore listening, lead students to look through the pictures so that they can number the pictures easily.Play the tape for the first time, students only listen and try to finish them.Play the tape second time, students get answers of 2a. Check the answers.2、Activity 2bPlay the tape for the first time, students should try to fill in the blanks in 2b. Play the tape again, check the answers and correct the wrong ones if any.3、Explanation of the listening material.Translate the material and stress the key points.Step 3 Practice (Activity 2c)Retell the stories of listening material.First, teacher gives the mode of how to retell the stories according to the frame. Several minutes later, ask two students to present.Step 4 Consolidation (Activity 2d)1、Role-play the conversation.First, let students answer the questions after looking through the conversation, besides, play the recording of the conversation.Then, check the answers. After that, analyze the conversation and explain the difficult sentences.Next, give them several minutes to read the passages then role play the conversation. 2、ExerciseFill in the blanks according to the conversation.Step 5 Group workPlay a game: Which group can make sentences quickly in such a modesb. was/were doing when sb. did1、 表演动作2、 说出短语3、 遍造句子Divide the whole class into three groups.
