Then give a report.A: I was _B: I was _Step 2: Presentation (5mins)1. Look at the screen and learn to read and spell the new word storm.2. I like the green dress. 我喜欢那件浅绿色的裙子。 He sat down and a cigarette. 他坐下来,点了一支烟。(2)此处outside 做副词,意为“在外面”,其反义词为insidee.g. Please wait _. 请在外面等。【拓展】outside还常作介词,意为“在的外面”e.g. You can park your car our house. 你可以把汽车停在我们家外面。(3) with + 宾语+ 宾补e.g. He likes to sleep the light on.他喜欢开着灯睡觉。知识点2. Bens dad was putting pieces of wood over the windows while his mom was making sure the flashlights and radio were working. 本的爸爸正在把几块木板放在窗户上,而他妈妈则确认手电筒和收音机都能正常使用。(1)wood 作不可数名词,意为“木,木头,木材”。a piece of wood 意为“一块木头”e.g. There are many kinds of wood growing in this forest. 这片森林里出产各种木材。 He put _ _ in the fire. 他往火里添了些木材。【拓展】wood做可数名词,意为“树林”,常用复数。e.g. She is afraid to walk through _ _ at night. 她害怕晚上经过那片树林。知识点3. Ben was helping his mom make dinner when the rain began to beat heavily against the windows. 当雨开始对着窗户猛烈地敲打时,本在帮助妈妈做晚饭。(1)beat(beat, beaten)作不及物动词,意为“敲打;(风,雨等)冲击;(心脏,脉搏等)跳动”。e.g. Someone _ _ on the door. 有人在敲门。【拓展】beat 做及物动词,意为“打,敲,打败”e.g. Whos the drum? 谁在打鼓? He finally fell asleep when the wind was dying down at around 3:00a.m. 大约凌晨3点风逐渐变弱时他终于睡着了。(1) fall asleep 为固定短语,意为“进入梦乡,睡着”She was very tired so she _ _ soon. 她很累,因此很快就睡着了。(2) asleep 作形容词,意为“睡着”,常作表语,无比较级和最高级。E.g. Although the storm broke many things apart; it brought families and neighbors closer together. 虽然这场暴风雨把许多东西拆散开了,但是它使许多家庭和邻居们关系更亲近了。(1)apart 做副词,意为“分离,分开”e.g. He stood with feet apart. 他两脚分开站立。(2)此处bring (brought, brought) 做使役动词,意为“促使”e.g. They things right. 他们使事情正确。 She couldnt herself to believe the news. 她不能使自己相信这个消息。 Her cries her neighbors running. 她的哭泣声使她的邻居们跑过来。(3) 此处close 作形容词,意为“亲密的,亲近的,近的”e.g. Jenny is one of my friends. 詹妮是我的密友之一。 He is very to my father. 他和我爸爸关系很亲密。【达标测评】一. 根据句意及汉语提示写单词。1. Others should listen carefully.Step 2: Presentation (5mins) 1. Show a picture. And ask the students to look at the picture and think about what has happened. Then lead them to read the word in this picture.2. In the same way, lead them to learn the other words together. 3. Give them 2 minutes to write the words on the guiding paper without checking the book.Step 3: Activity 3a(15mins) 1. Ask them to read the article and answer the questions. Then invite some students to help to check the answers.2. Ask them to read these questions on guiding paper first. Then play the tape. Ask them to read after the tape. After reading, leave them several minutes to answer the questions. Finally, guide them to check the answers together.3. Have them discuss what theyve learned from the story. Then each group recommends one student to share his or her answer. Then together, the class try to get the best answer.4. Ask them to read the sentences on the paper. Then ask them to read passage again. Then give them several minutes to find out these sentences in the textbook and then fill in the blanks on the paper without checking the book. After that, check the answers. Finally, ask them to read and recite these sent
