Hometown FeelingsAnalysis of teaching materials The reading material is derived from Unit10, textbook for Grade 8 students. The topic of the passage is about hometown, and such a topic is so related to our daily life that it is easy to arouse students learning interests. In accordance with the teaching material and the new syllabus of English, I designed the following objectives.Teaching Objectives1.Language knowledge: Master words and expressions relating to this topic;Talk about their memories (comprehensive output).2. Language skills: Acquire the strategy of getting information from the previous information; Grasp the logic and the main idea of the passage (division of the passage).3. Emotional objectives: Develop deep affection for their hometown or other memories; Have the awareness of treasuring memories and establish good attitude towards the past.
