New words and expressions . 2.To improve students reading skills by task reading .教学思路： 本课教学是人教版八年级下册第一单元第四课时。本单元主要内容是阅读教学，它不仅包括语言知识点的学习，还有阅读能力的提高训练，同时还承担着培养学生正确的情感态度，价值观的任务。学生们都爱运动，运动中发生意外很难免。通过2a任务的完成，引导学生谈论运动中的意外，尤其是出示本课主人公的断臂图片，激起学生的阅读愿望。在阅读中，运用三种阅读技巧和一个阅读策略，设置任务并检验学生，逐步深入阅读材料，帮助学生对文章的理解。让学生体会到Aron Ralston当时的处境，割下自己胳膊的决心和毅力，学习他割腕自救的勇气。 本课重在“任务型阅读”任务解决，课后的作业的设置弥补了课堂的不足-没有对课堂阅读材料进行细致的知识梳理。教学工具： multimedia ,blackboard 教学步骤Step1 Greetings T: Hello,class! Ss: Hello ,teacher!Step 2 Lead-in 1. Review new words leant yesterday by reading and spelling one by one. 2. Activity 2a Get students to discuss in pairs about what accidents or problems can happen when we do sports.
