Think about it.Lead-in: Talk about what we should do if we cant finish eating our food? T: Look at the new words on P125-126. Wow, there are many new words. Can you remember them in one class? I think you can. Dont you believe? With my help, you can do that well. Also, you can go to our school website to review. Look!1. Read the new words in Unit 10 by themselves. First, try to read these words according to their pronunciation. Please read aloud. Then read to others and the teacher helps to correct the pronunciation .The difficult words, give a few minutes, have students work in groups with the help of our school website,2. Listen to the tape and correct the pronunciation. Play the tape of new words in Unit 10. First, ask the Ss to listen to the tape. Then ask them to follow and correct pronunciation. 3. Then, let the Ss work in groups of five to help each other to get more correct pronunciation. The teacher walks around the groups to give necessary help. Finally, ask the groups to show their pronunciation to the class. Other groups can help correct. 【设计说明】:由于学生已经具备了根据音标读出单词的能力,首先让学生自己读出单词,然后读给全班听,由老师纠正。再跟读磁带,以获取纯正读音。最后,利用小组互助的形式让每一个学生都能读出单词。等大家熟读后,再让小组中最差的学生读,其他小组予以纠正,老师予以辅助。以保证所有学生都能熟练读出单词,语音纯正,发音准确。Step 2: Remember the words by looking at the pictures. We all like the board game.I like it very much.【设计说明】:利用直观的图片和简单的句子,能够让学生更容易理解和记住新学的单词,降低学习的难度.Step3 Remember the words by conversion(转换),complex words(合成),derivative(派生)and comparison(对比)1.Conversion(转换):一个单词(或短语)由一种词类用作另一种词类The police searched the whole country to hold the thief yesterday. After that, they made a report about their searches. v.搜查 n.搜查It looks clear after he clears out his room. adj.干净的 v.清理,清除2. Compound(合成): 将两个或两个以上的单词合成在一起而构成的新词 rail + way railway n. 铁路;铁道 bed + roombedroom n. 卧室 child + hoodchildhood n.童年;幼年 home +townhometown n家乡,故乡.3. Derivative(派生): 在词根上加前缀或后缀构成另一个与原意略有变化或截然相反的词truth (事实) n. + 形容词后缀-ful truthful adj. 诚实的;真实的make(生产) v. + 名词后缀er maker n. 生产者soft (软的) adj. + 副词后缀ly softly adv. 柔软地especial(尤其的) adj.+副词-ly especially adv. 尤其、特别【设计说明】:利用词的转换、合成、派生等构词规则,可以让学生系统地去学习新单词。Step4 Remember the phase by matching itself with its meaning.yard sale 几乎,接近check out 依据;按照board game 说实在的junior high school 放弃,交出clear out 不再;不复no longer 庭院拍卖会part with 察看;观察to be honest 棋类游戏according to 初级中学close to 清理;清除【设计说明】:语块记忆即关注前后的英汉搭配是一种有效的记忆短语的方式。让学生交叉连线,避免了把答案直接告诉学生,培养他们多动脑的习惯。Step5 Remember the words according to their similar pronunciation. /a : / part regard yard /e / memory bedroom check century cent especially/ i : / sweet meeting / i / regard especially honest/i / clear ear hear【设计说明】:让学生利用单词的发音规律来记单词,能够使学生更系统地记住单词。Step6 Consolidate the words and phrases 1. Check the new words in your groups.【设计说明】:由组长负责检查小组其他成员在助学上的听写情况,将不会默写的单词记录下来,然后集中给老师,由老师再领读和指导记忆方法。大家用手在课桌上仿写这些单词。2. Get the students to have a short dictation about the important words and phrases. If they cant , dictate after class in groups.【设计说明】:学生在一堂中课中既要学习单词的朗读,还要记忆单词,对于能力弱的同学不能保质完成,因而要求单词测试效果不好的同学课下再花时间记忆,务必在新授课前能掌握大部分单词。3. Spell the words. Remember words by looking at a semantic map. Own (拥有) check(检查) soft (柔软地)clear(清理) certain (某种、确定的)part (离开) honest (诚实的)动词 search (搜查) 形容词 truthful (真实的)regard (将。认为。) opposite( 对面的)count (数数) junior (地位低下的) consider (注视) hold (拥有、抓住) 【设计说明】:运用不同形式教授单词,既减轻学生拼读单词的难度,同时又提高了学生识记单词的效率,培养学生有效的单词学习策略。Step7 Consolidation of words and phrases 1. Ask the students to read the words and phrases and their Chinese. Cover the English words and phrases , look at the Chinese and say the English for them. Write down the words they havent grasped.【设计说明】:先自我检查,找出仍未达标的单词,然后仍然采取小组互助的形式,需要利用自习课或课余的时间让小组长跟踪检查,尽量能让全部学生顺利过关。2. The students write down the words with the Chinese given in guide books. Underline the words they havent grasped. If they cant, dictate after class in groups. 【设计说明】:学生利用各种感官巩固单词。通过音素分类、抢答或使用助学默写等各种形式对单词加以巩固。教师应及时督促,让小组长反馈检查结果,尽量能让全部学生顺利过关。Step8 Read the story and translate it into Chinese.1.Ask the students to read the passage silently, and underline the new words and phrases.What are they going to sellJeffs children are growing up fast. They are in junior high school. One day, they cleared out a lot of things from their bedrooms. Such as toy bears, scarfs, and some soft toys, a bread maker, and so on. They decided to have a yard sale and sell these things that they no longer use. Now it is hard to sell them. Jeffs son is quite sad. Because he owned a railway set for a long time. And he played with it almost every week. Jeffs daughter is more understanding. Although she also feels sad to part with certain toys. She wants to keep them because they bring back sweet memories. As for Jeff, he doesnt want to give up his football, but, to be honest, he has not played it for a while now. At last they checked out these crayons and board games for younger kids. 2. Let the Ss read the story aloud by themselves and prepare for retelling.4. Prepare for Section A.设计亮点:1. 先利用一些图片复习旧知识,然后导入新课,让学生对本单元的内容有个初步了解,引起学生学习的兴趣。2. 让学生先自学新单词,然后分组学习,再找中等学生读单词,好学生纠正错误发音,有必要时教师再纠正。3. 利用图片识词,构词法识词,读音规则识词和记忆词块识词等多种方法帮助学生去学习新单词,引导学生使用多种方法去记忆单词,激发学生学习英语的兴趣。4. 把新学的词汇编写成故事,做到了词不离句,句不离段,段不离篇。让学生在具体的语言环境中去理解掌握单词。在思维导图的帮助下,复述故事,培养学生的语感。5. 最后,使用当堂检测题来进一步落实本堂课的所学的知识。让学生堂堂清,扎实地打好基础。布置家庭作业的目的是让学生复习当天所学的知识,同时还要预习下一节课的新内容。使用注意事项:1. 本节课的容量较大,根据自己的实际情况合理使用,可以把一些环节做合理调整。2. 本节课的重点是让全体学生先会读新单词,然后再根据不同层次的学生,给出不同的要求,做到分层教学。单词默写的检查,可以安排在以后的每堂课前五分钟进行,大约十单词左右。参考
